I will be uploading videos almost on a daily basis video documenting the impact of corona virus around Chicagoland area during the Covid 19 Pandemic outside of my channel’s scheduled weekly uploads. Please take time to watch how this has really affected our lives during this crisis. And everyone out there please stay safe.

This content is a part of Streets of the Americas Series and not a Covid 19 one. We will continue where we left off last week at Madison Street in city’s Near West Side Neighborhood to 95th Street by Beverly. So today we will be travelling southbound on one of the fabled avenues of the Chicagoland area Western Avenue. The entire length will be in the city of Chicago so we will be covering most of the neighborhoods along the way. The neighborhoods that we will be passing through will be Near West Side, Lower West Side, Little Village, McKinley Park, Back of the Yards, Brighton Park, Gage Park, Chicago Lawn and Wrightwood.
Western Avenue is a street within the city of Chicago. Western Avenue extends south as a continuous road to the Dixie Highway at Sibley Boulevard (Illinois Route 83) in Dixmoor, giving the road a total length of 27.38 miles (44.06 km). Western Avenue, after turning into Asbury Ave, runs out on the north side at Green Bay Road in Evanston and on the south side at Crete-Monee Road in Crete. However, Western Avenue extends intermittently through the Southland to the Will / Kankakee county border in unincorporated Will Township. Within Chicago’s grid street system, Western Avenue is 2400 West, three miles west of State Street (0 East/West).
