The Pont d’Arc is a massive natural bridge located in the Ardèche department in southern France, about 5 km from the town of Vallon-Pont-d’Arc. The bridge was formed when the river Ardèche broke through a narrow escarpment between its meander. It’s 59 meters wide and 34 meters high at the top of the opening. It’s a popular spot for canoeing and kayaking, and it’s heavily visited by tourists. Many people think it’s the natural entrance to the Ardèche Canyon.
