EVERYTHING WE ATE IN TOKYO, JAPAN

[Music] hi We leave tomorrow morning for Japan We have so much eating in store A lot of really fun adventures coming up Welcome to our home for the next 14 hours We just got to Japan We’re a little delusional We are in Shinjuku and we’re going to 7-Eleven There’s going to be a lot more 7-Eleven trips in our future Yeah this is just first one Vending machines where you can get Pyoza Tess is thanking the chef giving her compliments to the chef Thank you [Music] We did a little bit of damage at 7-Eleven Not a lot cuz we’re pretty freaking tired But an egg salad sandwich Tess found these really cute little matcha strawberry things They had a milkbread strawberry whipped cream sandwich This strawberry ice cream that looks so [Music] good Oh that’s really good It is like mustardy mayoy It’s really good I’m gonna try the strawberry one though Oh my god it’s so cute M Good morning It is our first full day in Tokyo We are headed to Udon Shin which is the famous Udon Carbonara Okay so we put our number down and now we are nearby the coffee shop Tess got a coffee I got a matcha And we’re gonna hang We might keep walking and exploring until it’s our turn to go [Music] So far out of this world The shrimp tempora though dipped in the broth is insane Top bite so far We’ve had three bites That was so insane We had our two bowls at Udon Shin We got the carbonara with the tempora bacon And then we also got the classic beef broth with a side of tempora The udon noodles are so chewy and springy and fresh like handpulled You got to go to Udon Chin if you’re in Tokyo but go before it opens at 11:00 So worth it Wow We came into this mall called Isetan And in the basement they have this whole like food court food hall And we’re waiting in this long line because we saw these strawberry daukus that look so good There was somebody hand rolling them in the window like Dint Taiong style That’s what we got Look at the little panda [Music] We stumbled upon toy dispensers So we’re going to get one We’re doing the I am donut one cuz I like donuts It’s a little block It says I’m donut Oh do you even get a donut you get a donut [Music] Going to have a bite of our strawberry dauku that we waited for a little while in line for All [Music] right that is crazy We didn’t get just the other dauku We also got this one And it’s so pretty and [Music] cute Good morning It is day two in Tokyo Last night we did not actually end up going to dinner We are still so jet-lagged We are actually moving hotels to a really nice hotel called the Bellisar Tonight we have a really special dinner It’s called Yakaniku Kapunote It is a full Wagu tasting similar to an omicaz where they take you through different stages So excited As my girlfriend would say Tess 1 2 3 Let’s get into it [Music] Room at the Bellar is not ready yet We are taking the train We’re mastering master We’re going to Kiten Sushi to owner which eats went to and it looks phenomenal It’s the mayor belt sushi but really high quality We’re going to get we’re going to get our first sushi in Tokyo Yeah [Music] My first piece of sushi in Japan This is the medium fat tuna Oh my god she’s speechless Got ourselves a stunning uni piece I am officially blown away That was the best way to start our sushi off in Japan Tessa had like eight I had six or seven came out to about 9,000 yen which was $60 US That was insane for 60 bucks We found ourselves in the sickest candy shop that has all these intricate designs Oh we’re getting a few I have a few to bring home All right we made it to Soule Pancakes [Music] Quick little room tour We’re staying at the Bellisar and this is the most stunning room We’ve got a little welcome here for Lunar New Year This is our view Are you kidding it goes across the entire room Bed Stunning The bathroom You’ve got bathtub shower toilet By the way loving the Japanese toilets I need to relax This is so cool This is everything A5 from in Japan North Waku sashimi with a vinegar jelly [Music] Interesting A bra with truffle Toro with oonie and caviar [Music] Japanese [Music] [Applause] special Good morning Look at our view That is insane We didn’t really do a recap after our Wagyu dinner last night It was so gluttonous and we were just like so full but it was really good I think there’s probably better ones in Tokyo It was good though It was good We had a good time We have a 6:00 reservation at Sushi Yoshi Take which is highly coveted omic acid but they specifically say no cameras So sorry No perfume No perfume no cameras Let’s go explore this hotel cuz it’s really freaking cool [Music] Hello Day two in Japan Oh my god Day three in Japan I’m really having a tough time this morning We’re just going to go out and explore I think we’re going to head to Shabuya again Look at what we got Sandwich number three Oh yeah Oh [Music] yeah Oh that’s that’s so good Tessa also got herself a cruffle Tessa was craving guoza so she found us this place in Harajuku and it looks like it’s the place to be There’s a little [Music] line The best I’ve ever had And this is the steamed one This isn’t even pale fried Those are the pan fried [Music] We are at Tokyo Plaza in Herajuku We’re going to do a little shopping a little exploring here now But the guzzo we just had were absolutely insane Might be a top bite for me from the whole trip That was like crazy good and so inexpensive We just got back to the room and we’re going to hang tight and get our appetites ready for our big omas at Sushi Yoshi Take That’s it for the day You’ll see us tomorrow Good morning Day four We didn’t get to take you guys with us to our omocate last night It’s for the best It was a really expensive omocate It was incredibly traditional We could totally appreciate the craft and the attention to detail and how incredible it is I think it just wasn’t for us And that’s okay We’ve discovered in the past that we are not tasting people Not for lack of trying We love all foods It’s just I think we’ve gotten to a point where we’ve established what we like and what we don’t like and we just want to eat what we like So more power to tasting menu people That’s just not us Okay we have made it to Aakusa Okay we’re on the very crowded Nakam Dori Street and we are coming back to Asakusa for an evening tour with a with a guide We’re not too worried if we don’t hit everything today but it is crowded All right we got ourselves a brulee sweet potato and she looks gorgeous The potato itself is so sweet Like my mom would love this Now we have a hanker for something savory So we realized we were very close to Seavoy We’re going to go try and see if we can sit down randomly without a reservation Oh my god This is not real From two New Yorkers It’s pretty sad I’m speechless We’re stuffed to the full puking pizza One of the very very few restaurants that lets you take your meal to go And had we known that we wouldn’t have eaten 4 million extra slices I thought we had to delete in front of them Tessa gave me one coin and I’m going to use it [Music] [Applause] [Music] That is so cute We officially made it to Kapabashi Street also known as Kitchen Street And Tessa is already browsing away She got herself a really really nice Japanese knife She may not have just gotten one knife She might have also gotten two knives Just everybody we listen and we don’t judge Listen I took you to a street called Kitchen Street I would be so shook if we went home without a bunch of stuff from here Oh my god we are in the cutest store Literally it’s all fake food Oh you could get everything Anything That’s French onion soup They have a whole keychain section We’re going to definitely buy some keychains Back in the Aakusa area We’re going to walk up Nakamise Street cuz we didn’t really do it before because it was so crowded This has been I think my favorite store we’ve been to yet This is a all yuzu store And if you know me you know I love yuzu Tessa’s favorite thing to put when she makes crispy rice spicy tuna is yuzu salt We got this gorgeous bottle They have everything under the sun That’s yuzu Like yuzu jam Yuzu honey I love yuzu I’m excited He asked us where we were from and we’re putting a little mark on the map Oh hi This is Simba Hi Strawberry a day keeps the doctor away It was freshly canded It was still warm That was the sugar boost I needed Mhm Now I just have to show you We did some damage today We bought so many little [Music] trinkets She’s one of one One of one Love you Look at all the viewers We just lined up for our Wagu dinner It’s called Ichinoya Unfortunately we did not get the cut off of the first group of people We did wait a full seating 40 minutes but we are about to sit now I’m ready So we got the melt in your mouth with flet wagu comes over rice and egg and broth [Music] Work pork Dinner was amazing really high season It was just everything is done so meticulously No the broccoli poured over the rice with like a really rich but light juiced chicken Super flavorful Headed back to Ginsa near our hotel room Got a little drink Okay so we ended up at a bar called Bar Libre and Ginsa and it’s such a vibe in here There’s a full giraffe It’s got music and stars on the ceiling I got the seasonal strawberry bulldog and Tessa got the mandarin [Music] gimlet This is so good Good morning We have made it to Tenriyu and we’re going to get their giant [Music] kioza Really good flavor on the pork Great cross It’s like Chinese mandarin which is a change up from you know your typical Japanese pioza I like it This is the mouthwatering cold chicken This is Tessa’s favorite She loves it Really hot sweet sauce This chili sauce is like that addicting kind of sweet heat but definitely got to pick Pork fried rice Not too many thrills about it but like hits all the notes in the best way Simple and amazing 10 Rio We got here right at 11:00 Didn’t even wait Lunch was delish Now we are going to go walk off our lunch in the beautiful Team Labs Borderless We have made it to the Mory building We’re going to check in with our tickets and we will see you guys inside the museum The artworks in a room change over [Music] time This is pretty cool [Music] Do you like it having fun okay so we ended up heading over to Shabuya because we got a table last minute to get a Wagu sando from Wagu Mafia We’re going to go to the burger shop though Shout out Papa Bagel for the hookup Thank you Adam We’re in Shabuya now We’re popping around Hills It’s like a shopping plaza Ton of six stores [Music] Right we are at the famous Magu Mafia We went with the Chateau Bion which is 253 We’re also getting a burger They were ranked number eight in the world for best burger shops and pretty excited about that one Off to a great start with the French fries truffle fries Oh smells so good [Music] The meat is such high quality that like melts in your mouth Well seasoned super simple She just did a we did a whole thing We glue the gold all over We’re covered in gold but not mad about it That Wagu color is insane The bread is air because it’s Japanese milk bread My favorite part is the katsu sauce Sweet Perfect balance with the rich Wagyu but it’s not heavy Okay the real tea on Wagyu Mafia It was delicious 100% concur My one bugaboo is that I think the gold flakes are a little unnecessary It’s a sick Wagu cutlet sando Doesn’t need gold flakes It adds to the price for no reason But holy it was delicious You ready to get a little drunk at SG Club yes we’re going that [Music] way So we’re at SG Club This is the bar that Sip and Guzzle in New York was modeled after [Music] It’s 8:30 p.m We had some great drinks at SG Club Very similar to Sip and Guzzle in New York City which I love Before we leave Tokyo in 4 days we had to get some more sushi So very excited [Music] That was delicious Warm cozy beef noodles today It was really really good We are doing a really special tour It’s a food crawl with Arriato Travel One of the things that we’re really good at is finding those places to take travelers that are locals only if you will It’s that place that if you were looking for it you might not find it Or if you did find it it might be unapproachable So Asaka here we are We’re going to go down the side here in search of melon pun Like a bready crispy cream Isn’t it good so good [Music] This is our first stop Have you had yaki soba so we take what looks like ramen noodles We kind of stir fry them You can put vegetables and sauce There’s a few different ways you can do it But today we’re actually going to try it two different ways We’re going to try it here because this cute little place that we found the guy is a hoot But he serves it in an interesting way because we make rolls out of it with ni which is you know the rapper for sushi Yeah So he makes this very simple very tasty yakisoba Compai So this is our umeu soda It’s a plum liquor with soda water Tessa is already loving hers so let’s try it I would drink these every day [Music] Pork belly Japanese long onion If you want more roasted pepper put more roasted pepper If you want heavy on the center or something heavy however you So you can do like a custom blend to take home It started here in Asaka not far from here The shop has always been here And this is their anniversary 1625 400th anniversary is this year Oh my gosh This is managed by the merchants who are on this little tanuki Oh my god it’s so cute And what’s his name he’s a tanuki They’re not only one of them There are several of them and they’re all in their own little [Music] house Uh so more black pepper than red pepper flavor but it’s super light almost refreshing against that very umami that we had before This is the juice So it’s beef tendon stew You simmer it for hours and hours and hours It’s got soy It’s got ginger It’s got burdock root If I only ordered one thing here it would be this That’s like a melty short rib on its best day Crazy This is the brulee matcha crepe It’s rolled up There’s whipped cream matcha emoji there’s a cookie all in here to make one delicious [Music] dessert just for you Swap with me You got to try this Oh my god that’s so good [Music] We had a beautiful food crawl yesterday Had a really lovely time Yeah And I’m not usually one for tours like at all but it was the perfect combination of information and entertainment and food I was captivated the whole I didn’t look at my watch to be like when is this over one time that was really special Couldn’t recommend Arato more We are on the 13th floor of the Ginsa 6 Mall We have found ourselves at the most stunning Shabu Shabu restaurant We went with the sukiyaki It’s roughly like 30 bucks a person Mushroom greens Take it [Music] out Strawberry with what looks like mochi red bean hot tea towel Hot date What a satisfying and delicious lunch we just had Did you just put a mint in your mouth no Give me a minute Tessa found or saw that you’re supposed to get these amazing mints I’m sorry Really good Tea ceremony It’s usually something that we do for 4 hours long We tend to wear kimono such as this and we will be sitting in rooms like this full of tatami That tea ceremony was so special We booked that through Wabanka and I highly recommend the tea master Zach He was incredible We learned so much from him From the manner in which you’re supposed to consume the tea to all the reasoning behind it We’re a little tipsy We had a lot of sake if you couldn’t tell We were sipping it off of plates and we had a gorgeous cocktail at the end We’re off to Pizza Omicas Pizza Bar and 38 This is the number four pizza shop in the world On our display you can see all the ingredients that we’re going to use today from our farmers If you have any question feel free to ask for the pictures and enjoy your dinner Thank you so much for coming Our pizza bianca with a salt and olive oil to bake the dough rosemary oil on top Japanese from Nago We’re going to have the seasonal pizzas For most of the pizza we use ingredients coming from Kaido This is a cauliflower pizza with uni and a carrot pizza with mock liver and duck sausage They give you a piece of their dough that you can play with You also can try it raw I’m not a fan of so I’m not going to try it but I really want a great texture and really play with Thank you Thoughts on dinner i think it was really interesting pizza The margarita they start you off with delicious the quatro formagio They said we do seven cheeses here topped with a truffle honey That was so good I thought that it was delicious I thought that it was different If you’re looking for an omic ac experience and you’re not the most adventurous eater this is what I would recommend to you Desserts were out of this world They had a really delicious hazelnut ice cream avocado with like these cookie crumbles underneath that were delicious They care so much about what they’re doing You can tell in every detail that they put into the food They’re doing really artisal special things with these local ingredients that they have which is amazing I see why that’s number four pizza in the world It is our last day in Japan before we have to say goodbye It is 8:00 a.m We are headed to Sukiji Fish Market Test anything you’re craving this lovely morning Oh I want some like medium fatty tuna Ramp it up Let’s [Music] go Yappy is showing us all of his favorite hidden gems Here we got a pork dumpling This is 250 yen It’s huge Careful with the spicy mustard Delicious Oh it’s so good Grilled Wagyu beef man tapanyaku We’re very excited We’ve been looking for this one They’re cooking it on a flat top and you can see the marbling in the meat and how the fat literally just melts away like butter I just know it’s going to touch my tongue and evaporate We got the larger size Wagyu stick It’s $4,000 yen which is about $26 I just took a bite of the meat It’s fatty but not chewy fat It’s marbled It’s so buttery Oh my god this is so pretty Melts in your mouth That’s not even four bucks for this piece alone Insane quality So the Muscet grapes are 500 yen We got six grapes It’s really the sweetest grape I’ve ever had And can’t forget the melon 700 yen for this little wedge So juicy so sweet The fruit here is unmatched You like can’t get this anywhere else We got a dango with a sweet soy glaze 300 yen It’s like a sweet mochi like in teriyak sauce Really good Little crab meat 3,000 yen for three legs Good lump crab meat Not so sweet More savory Got ourselves a Japanese roasted sweet potato 500 yen Really spectacular Oh that’s so good We went back to the hotel to just regroup after our long morning and lunch of eating at Sukijichi Fish Market We are headed to dinner We’re going to get some tonkatu but I’m not going to take you guys with us We’ve had you on our whole trip and I think it’s time to put the camera down just for our last night Have her just for one night please But truly thank you so much If you’re still watching we had a blast with you in Tokyo I hope you had a blast with us Our taxi driver last night asked where we were coming from So we said New York And he says “Oh I love New York I’ve always wanted to go one day Do you know Cheesecake Factory?” We giggled and said “Yes of course you know Cheesecake Factory.” And he goes “Oh my god I love Cheesecake Factory big plate and 1.

  6. So
    HAPPY🗽🧍〜HAPPY???

  10. Japanese here. In Japan, only upper middle class people can afford these restaurants, shops and high class hotel room. It's like a dreamy life for most Japanese.

  11. SG club was my favourite bar when I was in Tokyo. Didn’t know it’s now known by tourists too. You two went to really good places.
