Welcome back to Orkney! We continue our motorhome tour on the southern islands of Lambholm, Glimps Holm, Burray and South Ronaldsay taking in a mix of fantastic sights from Chapels to Museums, fine dining restaurants to Tunnocks on the beach, Cathedrals to ruins with a host of unexpected delights along the ways.
In the evening we head back to the north of Main Island to wild-camp in Birsay. Although the wind was too strong for the Puffins, we found a very unexpected wild side of Orkney back in Kirkwall. Honestly have never seen (or smelt) anything like the peculiar Stag and Hen tradition of “Blackening” or “Gunking”!

  1. The tough part about Sundays is the weekend is over and the work week just begins. But your videos make it just more bearable so thank you very much love your travels. I once only once went to the UK and I loved it so much when I got back to Canada I looked into emigrating. If you ever get back from Montreal please give us advance notice I would love to meet you and your family

  2. Love the video as always! Long time subscriber here ❤️

Just a quick comment on the audio quality… sometimes it’s really quiet and others it’s booming! For example the charging station clip and also the seafood restaurant (couldn’t hear Lyndsay 13:01 at all). Just noticed this more recently in the past few videos, and happened before this windy trip 😊.

    Excited for the next one!

  3. Thanks again for an amazing vlog!. Steve is right as the drink driving limit is very low here in Scotland so not having any for a day or so is a very good idea. Please look after yourselves

  4. Your next trip needs to be to the Shetland Islands where there are Puffins galore. Very different islands from the Orkney Islands but at least as spectacular.

  5. ah you witnessed the Blackening a pre wedding tradition! The catmaran is the st margarets hope to Gills Bay ferry it is quite regular too few times a day, i love my Arkhangell and it has juniper berry taste its luscious
