Don’t know how they cope coped in the summer months, heavy season, high season, hawk season back a bit, couldn’t they? Yeah. So, we’re going to trim this over there and we’re going to lead today. We’ve we’ve agreed um we’ve got the same sort of big road shown on on the sats. And it’s quite a long drive, isn’t it? Yeah. It’s about 5 hours. Yeah. So, we’re going to stop there for two nights so that uh can have a bit of a rest and have a a look around the site and everything. Yeah. Got the bikes on the on the back. Yeah, you got to remember you got the bikes on the I could see them seem in the rear. You cam I think we carry straight on here in 300 m. Yes, it’s showing us. Yeah. Otherwise, we’d end up going back towards Gent. Yes. Yeah. Automatic slag boom. the slag room open. We turn left here then. Yeah. Across the uh this is a a two-way road here, isn’t it? Oh, there’s someone coming. Don’t we go We go that way there. No, we don’t go over there cuz that’s a right turn. No entry. Yeah, I know. I could see that. I thought that’s where you were going. No. Oh, it’s nearly a disaster. No, it wasn’t. I just thought it was a dual carriageway for a minute. [Music] In the Netherlands now. It’s country number three, isn’t it? Yeah. done 124 km so far. Probably still got about 300 and something to go. Yeah, it does say we might arrive at 1336, but okay. Carried on at this speed. Yeah. It’s been quite easy, hasn’t it? So far, I mean, there’s no trucks at the moment, other parked up for Sundays. I remember that disaster last time when we came. Yeah. All around Antwerp and under the tunnel and finish says war. Need a break. Texico 4 and a half miles. No. Oh, what do we do now? Turn right on the traffic light, then take the first left. [Music] doing so well as well. Yeah, it was a sign for petrol station. Well, I need a petrol station anyway. Searching for them. Be another one soon. Yeah, this is the old border crossing. There were checks here, I’m sure. Last time we came. There were checks here, border checks the last time we came. Last time we came. Yeah. Going this going into Germany, not going into the Netherlands. Okay. [Music] Speed up a bit. Now we see there’s quite a lot in traffic, don’t we? road works. Yeah. Yep. Seem to be rebuilding something, don’t they? Bridge. I think we had this last time, don’t they? This bridge. I think we were held up quite a while on this bit before. We can see anything there, but crossing. See what it’s crossing. Looks like Grosser Pic. That’s the lake, isn’t it? Yeah, that’s the lake. And then it’s a canal. It’s K E N D E L. Canal. Canal. Yeah. It’s bouncing up and down. It’s bouncing up and down. Yeah. It’s a funny name, isn’t it? Lot of road works here. Loads of road works now on the A3 towards Hanover and Barnum. And it’s come up where we’re going junction 35. 206 kilometers. How many? 206. 206 km. So be there shortly. Well, I do remember this. Continue on A3. So, we’re on the A3 for 206 km then. Yeah, we’re about halfway. Get a little bit of scenery. Flying. Sun’s come out. That’s the only we were coming. I’m just checking. And they’re behind us. Yeah. Yeah. We’ve got a little bit more dramatic as well. Take exit 35 on the right. [Music] In 2 kilometers, turn right on to B238. [Music] [Music] So I understand this is it’s right on this bit here [Music] cuz you see it says right on you can only go left there you turn right on to B238. [Music] didn’t understand that junction for a minute. No, I know. 900 m. We turn it right. Yeah, I know. It won’t spell this. [Music] I’ve got a sign for Rel. Yeah. 4 km. Yeah. Not there yet, Bobby. Quite a way to go yet. 6.8 km debt mold estrassa. Sorry about this. Sorry. Sorry about this noise. It’s me suing me having our own conversation. Turn right on to Detour Ashtasa. Dr. C. There’s a sign for it now. Right. Straight on. In 2 km, turn left onto our door limit. So, it’s an airfield there. Yeah, it said something about said the German for airfield. Fluke Haren. That was it. No. Fluke plats. Sorry. Fluke plats. All right. Fly place. Yeah. In 1 kilometer, turn left onto then take the first right. Okay. Turn left onto then take the first right. Turn right onto then take the first left. That’s right. See it? Yeah. It’s in here, isn’t it? On on the right. Looks like it, doesn’t it? Turn left onto a camping and Mildong. There’s barriers there. Yeah, if you want to park up and then walk in or I think you better do that. You go in there and Yeah, cuz it says park park plats. Yeah. And get through the barrier, are we? Otherwise, we’re blocking the entrance, aren’t we? Okay. Iron bomb straasa. We’ll go around the iron iron balm straa shall we? One way, didn’t it? Yeah. Turn right onto our door to then take the first left. We’re here, Mrs. Turn left onto Armed Door Tie. She’s got this feeling that we’re not here again. Yeah. Possibly one of the longest checkins ever. Yeah. It’s not like the new CMC first check in then. Yeah. Read. It doesn’t read your number plate and No. Let you in. Instantly let you in. Please drive to highlight a route. Just want to shut that off. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I mean, there’s loads of things here, loads of things to do. And it’s by a lake as well. There’s a spa, there’s mini golf. You name it, they’ve got it. So, don’t go the wrong side here. No, we go along the road there. Oh, go along the road. Oh, I thought you were going that way. No, there’s another entrance to it. That was just the check in. [Music] There’s a number plate thing that recognizes your you know AMPR type thing plate recognition. It’s not that wide here, is it? No, not especially. gives you an idea how big the site is as well cuz it’s spread out along the lake. The sea C1 and C2. Yeah. Loads of places to ride bikes and all sorts of thing here. [Music] Assume it’s here. ongoing three it says. Is that what it says? Yeah, that’s what it said. Okay. Yeah. And there’s your number plate thing. Oh, come on. Betton bike. There’s a restaurant here. There’s the number plate recognition. [Music] So, we’re good going up there, aren’t we? We are. Yeah. We turn right by this thing here, I think. So, if that’s that Looks like it, doesn’t it? Fian Camping Plats. Yeah, it’s number seven. The toilet block. Do we know what number we’re looking for? Yeah, it’s there. It’s a 30. It’s on that thing there. Oh, 306. That’s So that’s the yellow bit there. The yellow bit. It’s a bit further around then. Yeah, that’s true. Beer garden. Oh. Oh, says Jenny. Greek specialtity. Still carry on, our way. I think so. Yeah, that’s must be sort of somewhere here, something they Yeah, we’ve got to go around to the right. Yeah, I think there’s a sign there. We’re on the yellow thing cuz West ear sniffing away. Going down there, aren’t we? Yeah. All right. So, we’re looking for 306. Yeah. This is 301 to 304. 305 to 312. Yeah. Okay. 310 there. This must be 306 here. Well, I I can’t see a number, but that’s 305. Yeah. It says 311 there to me. What does it? Yeah. On the ground. I’ll let them get in and figure out where we are then. I’m going to have to do a sue now. Get out. Yeah. Just a minute. Poppy. You’re not settled yet. Shush. 306. Yeah, this is a fantastic little campsite really by the by the river, by the lake rather, the sea, C1 and C2. Yeah, it’s great. It’s really beautiful evening here. And yeah, like this a lot. There’s a glider club or something. You got the tow planes going up there, taking the gliders up. But look at this. See beautiful. There’s a shop and a bar here. And we drove past this earlier. Yeah. A little Greek specialtity beer garden. Yeah. It’s just some simple stuff here. Obviously do bread in the morning. Yeah. Some beers. Soft drinks, Coca-Cola, and ice cream. Morning. It’s 1st of September, uh, Monday, and I’ve got a day here. the day here am going to be a bit rain later unfortunately by the looks of it dark clouds are gathering but tomorrow we’re on our way to Denmark so really looking forward to this but this site is quite something it’s one of these places we’re going to have to come back to so much here you know it’s I think the uh lot of people going back to work Now all these statics all closed up for the winter. Toilet blocks at this sort of crossroads here. A bit of a walk from where we are. Always surprised to see cigarette machines. Senator Gabalda Zeban. [Music] There’s a card reader for it. Shoot. [Music] and washroom. It’s okay. Quite clean. Yeah. Some recycling bins by it as well. Also a little harbor here as well. Little jetty. That’s private there, it says. Okay. Seems to be nice pictures on the front here. And the other side goes all the way around there. There some amazing sort of chalets and semi-statics here. Yeah. I’ve been spending a bit of time editing this morning. How long did you say I’ve been doing it? Seven hours. A bit of time. Just a little bit of time. Yeah. A bit of an understatement. I lost some sound on the uh footage I filmed going onto the tunnel. I spent ages trying to sync it up. So, if anyone moans about the sound on there, we’re just going to have a look at the shower block here. And uh it’s not I I’ this morning I went all the way down well almost to the entrance looking for a shower block but Sue had found it last night. I found the other block of rubbish today. So it’s over here. I’m just admiring this coach. It seems to have grown into the scenery here. Yeah. It’s obviously a chemical emptying point here. Yeah. I was wondering where was there disabled L there is quite good up that on that red lift. Okay, let’s have a look inside. Oh, looks quite nice, isn’t it? The ladies to the left. Okay. Wow. Music playing. Yeah. Oh, James Herbert. Baby shower. Ladies. Ladies. Oh, so it’s ladies toilets, ladies showers, baby changing. Have a quick look. See, is anyone in? Let’s go around here. Okay, it’s very posh. Yeah. Wash basins. Oh, that’s all right. Oh, yeah. Those are very good. I’m very impressed. Yeah. What? Two, three, four, five, six, seven. Yeah. Oscar. Oscar said there. You could go in there. Yeah. Dog shower. Look. Yeah. It’s all right, isn’t it? Oh, really? Yeah. That is good. And then in here is a tiny little um lingerette. Okay. Laundry in here. All right. Okay. Wash wash machine €3 dry your dry or I can’t say it in German. Oil roll. Troa dry oil roll. Yeah. Here’s the uh little marina. Is that a wag? Oh, the little thing there. Can I sneak up on it? Yeah, it’s a wag. There we go. Beautiful. quite incredible. It’s a nice lodge, a view tired of looking out at that, would you? Nope. You’ve got a little it own little shed as well. Lovely. Oh, sorry. I did one earlier. So way down there is where we checked in yesterday. You see how well spread out this site is. We’re going to say big, but it is pretty big, isn’t it? Yes. All around the the sea. Yeah. The lake if you like. Yeah. These caravans here. Yeah. We were just saying how much it was here. And continue 600 m to the end of the street, then turn left. Okay. Cuz it was quite expensive here, wasn’t it? Well, it’s it’s the extra. Yeah. I don’t like the dog and everything. So, work out at the moment and we do a probably a bit of a refund, don’t we, for the showers and things like that. So, it’s this is sort of a bit of Yeah. an estimate at the moment. Yeah. I work out alto together it’s was £84. Yeah. So that’s about £42 a night, but it was a service pitch. Yeah. Wasn’t it? Yeah. And obviously we had to pay £3 a night for Poppy. We’ve been here two nights and it’s nice. It was nice and quiet. It was lovely. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely would come back here. I mean, obvious there’s loads and loads of uh statics here, semi-statics, but there’s I counted up there’s at least 75 touring pictures. Not going to get through here, are we? Unless he moves and uh yeah, I like like it here. The the showers are clean. We’ve just used it as a stopover. At the end of the street, turn left. Yeah, let’s see what Jenny says. We think we’re going for the exit elseang back along that road we came in on. Yeah, you could in theory drive through all the the caravans, but it’s probably quicker to go along here. Yeah, I don’t think they’d appreciate you driving all the way along the front there. It is amazing the number of um like we’d call them seasonal pitches, wouldn’t we? Yeah. Permanent ones. Yeah. What a nice place to have a seasonal as well. That’s right. Turn left onto our doctor. I think what we found though, as soon as it gets to sort of September and it’s not the weekend, there’s hardly anybody here in these seasonals, are there? Yeah, that’s right. Makes even quieter. Gates are a bit tight, aren’t they? So, we didn’t go to any of the bars, did we? At all. We just uh finished off some of our own uh stuff and finished off some of the editing. So, didn’t really do much. Yeah. So, we’re off to Where are we off to? Put put Well, we’re off to little first. Little Well, we’re off to reception first. off to reception first to sort out giving them back the card and get rid of the rubbish cuz the rubbish is continue one kilometer to the end of the street then turn left. Yeah, I need a bit of shopping as well. Yeah, she’s off to Little bus stop there. Bus bus to Stella. Yeah, now she’s off she’s off to um Little Nora is going to get in t in a minute. Yeah, we’re going to be stopping again. I’ve worked out the end of the street, turn left. Worked out we’d come this way, didn’t we? In a cottage in 1993. Yeah, we stayed at Nordheim, which is probably about 20 mi away. Yeah. Didn’t realize how close that was. Yeah, I definitely would like to come back and explore Germany a bit more one day. This particular part of the Harts Mountains and around there would be nice. So back into the left onto Hart Lasha. We’re going in here, Mrs. Satnag. Yeah. So back into the reception. So we’ll catch you on the way to put in the next video. We might show a bit of renin. Rim town. Okay. Because um Rin cuz we’re going to Little Yeah. Oh yeah. Okay. See you in a minute then. Yeah. So, we got 10 €1043 back. Okay. Cuz we didn’t use the shower, did we? No, we didn’t use the shower. We didn’t go to the restaurant. So, really, this is not a review of this site. No. Yeah. Don’t think the restaurant actually was was open, was it? Um, I don’t know. I didn’t didn’t see Well, turn left onto Hart Lasha. I didn’t notice the one near us didn’t appear to seem to be. There is a bigger one here, but the only drawback with that site is the size of it. You you need a bike or something to get from one end to the other. Yeah. To do a proper explore of it. Yeah. I didn’t get the bikes off the back. I’ve spent seven hours editing videos. A video yesterday. Yeah. But there you go. Right. So Smurf’s taken us to the balls. Yes. So we definitely catch you in the next one. Yeah. Where are we going tomorrow? That way.

We arrive at our stop in Germany, Am Doktorsee, Riteln, Germany. A huge site by the picturesque Doktorsee (lake).

  1. If you are thinking of another trip to Harz Mountains area of Germany in future, the town of Hoxter is nice with Corvey Schloss nearby on the banks of the River Weser.

  2. Beautiful site! IMO price was very reasonable👍👏😁May I say in advance, all the videos are fantastic! Bob, enjoy the trip, can’t you edit the videos when you get home?

  3. Memorable campsite in a very pretty area of Germany. Loved the service pitches next to the lake. Facilities are modern and well equipped 😃👍🏻🚐💙 Trev n Sue

  4. I've never seen a site like this. The caravans all seem to have a roof shade on them, not a bad idea. What van was you in when you visited in1993? Yep, enjoying the series and like the fact your videos are current and aren't filmed 6 months ago👍 even tho I'll probably watch this again in 6 months time🙃😄❤🏆👍
