Easter in Greece felt like a dream. We flew from Munich to Rhodes with the spring sun warming our spirits, ready for one unforgettable day trip — Lindos.
The morning air was crisp but full of anticipation as we hopped into a taxi in Rhodes Town, the road stretching out through olive groves and white-washed villages. Lindos was about 47 km (≈ 30 miles) away, and the drive took us roughly 55-60 minutes.
We’d heard that from Rhodes to Lindos, a taxi fares around €45-€60 depending on traffic, time of day, and exact pickup point.
If you’re coming from Rhodes Airport instead, expect something closer to €80-€81 for that direct transfer.
When we arrived, Lindos greeted us like a postcard: white cube-houses perched on the hills, narrow stone alleys twisting down towards the bay, the Acropolis standing guard above, and sunlight dancing on the water. We explored the ancient ruins, wandered through winding streets, and paused often just to breathe in that cobalt-blue sea view.
We savored Greek coffee in a quiet square, dipped our toes into crystal waters at St. Paul’s Bay, and captured every pastel-colored door, bougainvillea arch, and cliff-side panorama. Before the shadows lengthened, we soaked up Lindos’s magic just enough to leave wanting more.
Heading back in the taxi, with the golden light fading over the hills, I felt Easter had given us more than hope and renewal—it gave us Lindos, its peace and history, cradled in sea and sky.
