Harburg Castle & Medieval Town | 4K Drone & Walking Tour – Romantic Road, Germany

Hey there! Welcome to Harburg, a charming medieval town in Bavaria. Today, we’ll walk through the streets, explore the castle, and check out some hidden gems. Let’s get started! Who knows this music box? If you know its name,
you can write it in the comments! The pumpkins are amazing. Soon I’ll be going to Ludwigsburg to visit the Pumpkin Exhibition too. You can subscribe and walk with me on my next adventures. Here we are taking off with the drone. Look at those winding streets and the rooftops! The Wörnitz River flows right through the town, giving it a peaceful vibe. The river actually starts near Ansbach and eventually joins the Danube. And check out those red-tiled roofs—they’ve been preserved beautifully. You can almost feel the medieval atmosphere from up here. This is the Steinerne Brücke, or ‘Stone Bridge.’ Crossing the Wörnitz River, it’s one of the most famous and picturesque symbols of Harburg. This bridge has seen centuries of town life. A ‘Selbergmacht’ (homemade) market is being held here today. These markets, focused on handmade goods, are very popular throughout Germany. There’s a restaurant tucked right next to the bridge, and they let you take your food and eat it on the bridge. It’s the perfect place to hang out. I had the pumpkin soup right here, and it was delicious. I highly recommend you try it if you’re ever in Harburg. Walking closer to the Selbergmacht-Markt (homemade), the market is alive with colors and scents. Fresh bread, flowers, and crafts fill the square. The architecture around the market is stunning too. Half-timbered houses, ornate facades—it really transports you back in time. Here’s a closer look at some handcrafted items. These toys are all made by hand, and you can really see the artisan’s skill in every piece. These stalls have been a tradition for centuries. Imagine people buying goods here hundreds of years ago, just like today. Check out the windows and the details on the walls. Every corner tells a story about the town’s past and the people who lived here. Now we move toward the Rathaus, the Town Hall. Built in Renaissance style, it’s full of intricate carvings and historic charm. The pumpkins are amazing. Soon I’ll be going to Ludwigsburg to visit the Pumpkin Exhibition too. You can subscribe and walk with me on my next adventures. Flowing through time: The Harbug fountain stands before layers of history.
Walking here, you really get a sense of history. You can almost hear the sounds of a bustling medieval town. I love stopping at little stalls and chatting with the artisans. They tell you the stories behind each piece, which makes the market feel alive. Who knows this music box? If you know its name,
you can write it in the comments! Walking along the riverside now, the Wörnitz reflects the old buildings and bridges beautifully. It’s such a peaceful spot. The Wörnitz River, a 132-kilometer-long tributary of the Danube, winds its way through the peaceful landscapes of Bavaria, shaping the region’s beauty and history. We’re at a very interesting stall. All the products here
are made by recycling old horseshoes. They’re beautiful. If you have a house with a garden, you can buy these
and decorate a corner of your yard with them. The greenery along the banks adds to the charm. Locals enjoy strolling here, just like visitors today. We’re now about to begin exploring the castle. Let the drone carry your spirit over Harburg’s splendor,
revealing a living postcard of medieval grandeur
spread beneath the wings of modern marvel. Let me send the drone up a bit higher
so we can see the castle in all its glory. Look at its amazing position, isn’t it incredible?
Perched on this hill, like it’s protecting the whole region. If you’ve watched this far, I hope you enjoyed the video.
Then you can follow my channel, hit the like button,
and leave a comment! 🙏✨ Here it is – Harburg Castle…
One of Germany’s oldest and best-preserved castles. Crossing this bridge is so exciting –
it’s like stepping through a portal from modern times to the Middle Ages. The main gate still stands strong,
defying the centuries. We need to get tickets here to enter the castle. (3,5 Euro) We’re in the main courtyard now,
surrounded by centuries of architecture. Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance…
Every era left its mark here. Look at this well.
What an amazing example of medieval engineering. The armory displays tools of protection and conflict –
each piece so carefully crafted. From here, guards kept watch for friends and enemies –
their vigilance shaped the region’s history. Our journey through Harburg Castle is ending,
but these memories will stay with us. This isn’t just stone and mortar – it’s a living story
of human ambition, creativity, and resilience. If you enjoyed this journey, I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Greetings to Rapunzel 🙂
