SAMOS by Drone: Paradise Beaches, refreshing Canyons & awesome Cliff Dives!
Join me as I put the Chimera 4 travel drone to the ultimate test, capturing the stunning beauty of Samos Island (Greece) – from paradise beaches everywhere, through refreshing canyons to be explored and epic dives at the Kerkis, highest elevation on the island.
Canyon was the “Potami Waterfalls” a little west of Karlovasi.
Beach from first shots is the Potami beach, Church is called “Agios Nikolaos Chapel Potami”.
Best fish on the island in our fav restaurant: Cohyli Restaurant (in Ireon).
We found Samos to be the nicest island of the few Greek islands we travelled to.

what an fpv heaven! loved the b roll inserts too. do you have enough for a pure fpv vid? a week ago to the exact minute, i was hitting the first disaster on my hastily planned trip to the isle of arran. i've got it in my mind that if i can climb up onto the ridge i can fly both sides of a 2,000 feet ridge!!! carried my gear 1km to train station, train cancelled, bus replacement took an hour and a half to do a 12 minute journey by train… i carried my gear and kilometre to the central station in town to head west to the coast, no trains till night time, i took a different train which left me a a couple of kilometres from the harbour, i got the last ferry and night fell as we arrived at arran. jumped on a bus for the 7 mile journey up to glen sannox. as the bus drove away and rounded the corner i was left in total darkness, then i heard the deer……. october november… rutting season. i walked up the path a bit and was quickly surrounded by the noise of deer, at least 6. by the sounds of it huge beasts. i lost my nerve and headed back and camped on the beach, before i got on the ferry i also discovered, i forgot a cup and a spoon…….. i woke early, exhausted and doubtful, the skies didnt clear and i realised i had to give up and go home. i stood at the bus stop, and stared at the ridge hidden by clouds, i'd made the right call. a woman i'd seen a couple of times on previous visits walked by and as with all small islands we exchanges hellos, i think she recognised me, i had spooked her before, but then had a long chat so she might remember me well. she told me, the road is closed…….. my heart slumped. closed all week. the thought of carrying my gear 7 miles….. just not possible… she offered to go get her car and drive me the first couple of miles which made things look a bit better, but then she thought maybe the bus in the other direction would be possible. to my surprise my bus came and the driver said he was turning around at the road closure and going back halfway around the island then he was off duty and heading along the only cross island road back to the bus depot, he said he would take me all the way to the ferry port, i sighed with relief. he came back and the bus drove the most impossible road you have ever seen, single track, reversing more than 6 times to let cars and trucks and motorhomes pass, stunning scenery across to the mull of kintyre, then the big climb across the island and down to the ferry port. i arrived home in the dark, bit poorer, bit wiser. so tired i have barely moved in a week hehehe. i did film b roll and toyed with posting it but, its not enough to put all the text on screen.

I love the Greek landscape (and the Greeks). I had my most exciting FPV flights there.
