The Most UNDERRATED Country in Southeast Asia? | Travel Vlog 009

[Music] [Applause] So, Ly and I have finally made it to our hostel in Lao in Vangyang after a very, very long bus ride with taxis and tuk tuks and everything in between. And now we are both starving. So, let’s go and find some food. [Music] So, I’ve got some sort of meat omelette roll, which looks interesting, but I’m sure will taste very nice and satisfy some hunger. [Music] [Music] So Lassi and I have just spent the morning chilling and relaxing, which was much needed. But uh now we’re in the hunt for some lunch. So after lunch, we decided to get a buggy and say hi to some cows, I guess. [Music] This card, this buggy is pretty damn falling apart. However, it makes it a lot of fun to just throw around and enjoy it while it lasts. [Music] [Music] [Applause] Heat. Heat. [Music] All right, dinner has been acquired. I’m excited. All right, today’s plan is to go downstairs, have some breakfast at the hostel, and then we are going to go and rent a scooter, a little motorbike, and drive over to the base of one of the lookout points, and hike up the mountain, and then hopefully get a really nice view of the city and the surrounding scenery. Then, we’re going to hike down the mountain and have a swim in one of the lagoons. All right, we got our scooter. We made it to the start point of our hike. Let’s go see what kind of hike this is. [Music] [Applause] I must say going down is very technical cuz the mud is slippery and the rocks in their shoes. [Music] [Applause] [Music] You know, it is sweet, but it’s refreshing. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] The sign said that the cave was 30 m this way. And we came from down there. H. There’s another sign over there, but I can’t read it. I think we found the cave, but I don’t know if I want to go down there. I know. I don’t. So, we came down the stairs. Oh, and I think that’s the entrance down there, but I don’t know if I want to go in there. It’s all wet and slippery. But, I mean, we made it here. Might as well carry on. We’re in the cave now. Can’t really see much. There’s one more ladder. I don’t know. I don’t know if we’re in the right place, honestly. Let’s Let’s find find out. Jesus. In a little room here. I mean, I can stand, but I still don’t know if this is the tourist attraction or just an old old abandoned cave. Okay, I think we found the main cave. It’s a bit bigger, but it means my light doesn’t my phone torch doesn’t travel to all the corners. So, it’s kind of kind of even more scary. Wait, you can’t see anything. Oh my god. Ah, it’s dripping on me. We made it out. Barely. Barely. My god, that was fun. Wow, that’s hot. [Music] That’s not very interesting. Good morning. Today’s plan is to just take it a bit easy. We’ve been traveling hard and doing a lot over the last week or so, so we kind of want to chill a little bit more. So, this morning, we’re just going to have some time to ourselves and relax. [Music] So, Ly and I have made the very spontaneous decision to go tipsy tubing down the river. You sit on a tube and you float down the river and you have some drinks. Uh, but it’s starting now. So, let’s see if we make it in time. [Music] We made it onto the river. What’s up? Come. It’s very relaxing. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] So After a very long day, but fun day on the river, it is time to refuel. So, it is time for food as always. And tonight, we are at a little restaurant on the street enjoying some noodles and veggies and meat in my case. So today is mine and Lotty’s final day in Lao before we get on the bus and head to our next country, which I’m very excited for. Lao has been absolutely fabulous. I wasn’t expecting it to be so good. It’s been so chilled and relaxed and just friendly and beautiful in general. So, thank you for watching and I will see you all in the next video. Goodbye.
