[Music] [Applause] [Music] Well, hi guys. It’s George from Cypress Insight. Today we’re in sunny Lanica, an all year round resort. It’s November the 20th, something like that, beautiful weather, clear skies. We’re heading for refurbished high street. Lots of shopping. Beautiful new high street, guys. And there’s lots and lots of shopping in the back streets here. Oldtown Lanica, guys. Beautiful warehouse buildings, beautiful restaurants, cobble streets, old buildings that have been refurbished, old buildings that not quite refurbished like the old supermarket. Look at that. Beautiful down there for sale. Oh, is there? Oh, can we go that way a little bit? Have a look. Oh, that’s for sale. I think I’ve been in there before. I’ve been exploring. Here we are. Before we go to the high street, guys, or the refurbished bit. Let’s go and have a look at this building for sale. It’s not this particular one here, although that one’s all shut down. What’s inside? Let’s have a look. Urban exploring. I love it. Get go of the dust. I can’t see in there. Just rubbish storage shame. But look at this for sale. Now I have been in there, guys. It’s massive at the back. Look at this. Let’s get the number if anyone’s interested. Oh, we’ve got a date next door. 1925. Totally refurbished. Beautiful. And this particular one is for sale. And the telephone number is 96 888738. And it goes back for miles, guys. It really does. I’m not sure if this is part of the property that’s for sale. Behind there, there’s there’s more buildings. There’s houses. There’s arch buildings. So, let me put the camera through. I think it’s just this building for sale, guys, because if you look closely, you can see they’ve started work at on next door and the ones at the back. And the ones at the back go to the other road, which we’re going down now. So, I do believe it’s just this building here for sale, which is better really, isn’t it, guys? Cuz it’s going to be more affordable. Let me look inside. Looks like someone’s already looked inside through the glass. Oh, it’s wonderful. It’s got a hickeyy pickledy spiral staircase or semi-spiral. I think it was a a Taylor’s before. Something like that. Look at the Yep. Some sort of shop and now what can it be? Oh, no. Love it. So there we are. What do you think it could be, guys? There. I think an lovely apartment at the top and then down below some sort of workshop. Maybe an art studio. That would be nice. So you could rent it or you can have your own art studio. You can have your apartment at the top and then the artist working down at the ground floor selling his art. What a great idea. Right, let’s go. Look, there more art studios here anyway at the right hand side. So it’s a very popular place to acquire some fantastic art. So, we’ve got new with old new building up the top there. An old warehouse building here on the right hand side. This is where the fruit market was. Not sure if it’s moved now. Yeah, it’s indoors now. Ah, indoors now. There you go. Oh, step back. Step back. Mind the car. Don’t worry about the car. Look at this building. Now, that’s the building that I was talking about around the corner and it’s all been bought up for development. Look, I did say it goes back for miles and I have actually been in that building a few years ago and did a video. All around the back, guys, there’s houses and it all sorts warehouses. All sorts going on. Look at this guys. An old warehouse. In fact, it’s a carpenter’s workshop. My dream. And here’s a carpenter who’s been here 70 years. Let’s go and have a look around. He’s making some fabulous boats. These are gorgeous. Look at this. This is my dream. Beautiful old carpentry shop. We got a big band saw. We’ve got a combination table. That’s what this is called. It’s got a planer thicknesser, which should be underneath. There it is. planer at the top. We’ve got a mortis side and then we’ve got the circular saw here. There we are. He makes some fabulous furniture. And then we’ve got a table saw just over there. Wow, what an amazing carpentry shop. And looks like they’re developing it on the top. He’s been there 70 years. That is incredible. Another one for sale. Look, look, look, guys. Come around here. This building here. I’m not sure if it’s including that one or right. I think it is. I think it’s a lot. Wow. That is pretty impressive, isn’t it? So, we’ve missing the front. It looks like we’ve got stone on the bottom and then mud bricks on the top. As I said, we’re missing the front, but that’s been missing for years cuz that’s got a false tin roof. Used to be a laundry, now that’s gone. And that’s for sale, guys. 99723700. Wow. Oh, talk about woodwork. I want this ship. I want this ship. Look at that. That is wonderful. Can’t see all of it. That is beautiful. Oh, can see bits of it behind the shutters. Beautiful ship. Right, we’re continuing on to find the refurbished High Street. Have we got to go this way? Yes. Crew’s got Google Maps on. Have you got walking on? Oh, that’s handy, is it? Cuz I can’t run as fast of a car. Right. So, refurbished High Street. Look, we got some new stuff coming up here on the right hand side. Very 1970s here on the right. Oh, look what’s coming up on the left. More abandoned buildings. Breathless. That’s been converted into a car park. Look at the ceiling straw. Yep. You’ve got the bamboo. That’s bamboo. We saw that being made many years ago. And uh they’ve used that like lav and plaster, but they’ve used bamboo. We’ve got mud bricks. We’ve got an arch here. And as you can see, stone on the bottom. Always put stone on the bottom. You can’t put mud bricks down on the floor because of damp. But look at this wonderful building, guys. Absolutely amazing. Yeah, it’s massive project. I wouldn’t like to attempt this project, guys. It’s a bit too big for me. In fact, I might have been in there before. Partly taken down. Let’s have a look at the doors. The doors are original, but they’ve gone. They’ve even got woodworm. Look there. Yeah. Loads of woodworm in there. Let’s have a look at the staircase. Look at this staircase, guys. Unbelievable. Look at that. Now, this would have been a very affluent apartment. there. Look at this. Now, they would have been living at the top. We haven’t got a date, unfortunately. Or they might have been renting the top out. And then down here would have been the shops. Right, continuing on. See what else we can find. Look at this. Um, I don’t think you want to rent these, do you? It says houses for rent. Uh, not this particular one. All right. Which way? This way. I’ll keep going down here, guys. As you can see, there are shops scattered everywhere. More lovely old buildings. Oh, advert for Mr. Bricklage. Look out for the video. We’ve just been there. We’ve done a little video. We did a bit of shopping as well. If you’re into household goods and DIY mosaic designs, beautiful. The Leonardo Boutique Hotel right in the middle of the town. What about this boutique hotel? This is my boutique hotel. Let’s have a look inside. Oh, there’s furniture in there. You can get in there, actually. Wow. Oh, it’s beautiful. Guys, I know we’re doing the high street, the refurbished high street, but I’m I want to get in this old building. I think I can get in around the back. Go and have a look. I did peep in and it was open. Let’s go and have a quick look. See if we can get in. It’s over here somewhere. Might be fenced off round back. Let’s have a look. Yeah. I don’t know. Look at this. Ah, don’t think we’re going to get in there. Might do. It’s fenced off a bit, but this part is not. I wonder if we can get in. Oh, might be able to. Oh god. Oh, kitchens. Oh. Oh, wow. We’re in. Look at this, guys. Oh, let’s go in this bit here. Wow. Look at this courtyard. Unbelievable. I mean, wow. Look at this. Look at this floor. Look at that original floor under there. Original doors. An old cabinet. Still got crockery inside. There we are. Look at that. Some icons. That’s the front door. I haven’t got me torch. Oh, paneling. Lots of paneling. What’s in this bit here? Let’s go and have a look. Storage stuff. Just stuff that’s been left behind. It’s too dark. We’ve got a family photo. Oh, we’ve got a photo. We’ve got clothes on the floor. We’ve got books, wardrobes, high ceilings. Let’s take this photo out here, guys. Someone might recognize it. Let’s put it up here. Oh, it’s the couple. Here we are. There we are. Look at that. Beautiful, isn’t it? Look at the high ceilings. What’s in this room here? Let’s go and have a look. Oh, a bed and some more cabinets. Right, let’s get out of here. Unbelievable. Right, we are back. Oh, that was amazing, wasn’t it? We even saw the couple that used to live there. So, let’s go on, find the crew, and then finally get to this wonderful high street. Loads of parking around there. That’s the building I went in there on the right. Not this one. Next one. Here we are. We’ve got brand new coffee shops. A second coffee. I’m not sure what this one’s called. We’ve got designer shops, massage and therapy spa. We’ve got designer shops there. On the left hand side, we’ve even got a hotel, Elinara Hotel and Apartment. It’s very modern. Look at that. Beautiful cobble streets. Which way we going to go? Have you got your Google Mappies? Yeah. No, we need to go that way. We go that way. Oh, by the way, they have started putting all the Christmas lights up. Balconies. Beautiful balconies. Unbelievable. Now, that building there, I do believe partly restored. There we go. It’s amazing what you can do with these old buildings. Do you remember? Do you remember when we come last time and the boat the road was in? Oh yes, that’s right, guys. We were here a few months ago or quite a few months ago, I do believe. Beginning of the year. It was all dug up and it’s finished early. They finished it ahead of time. There we are, guys. A little bit of Cyprus for you. Finished early. Get it done. Get it dusted. There’s all the lights coming up. And looks like we’ve got some new buildings here on the left hand side. New with old. There’s Gucci beauty line for your makeup. Now don’t forget there are shops either side down the high streets around the corner all around here guys lots more shopping apart from this refurbished road sketch store that sounds good pinup that’s a close shop stepping up to the new pavement oh it’s pod Oh, they got to take away these um plastic barriers. Here we are. I think they’re just finishing off actually. Yeah, they’re just finishing off. There’s a couple bits to do, I think. And then they’re finished. Look at this lovely building. See, new with old. Look at the size of that building there. What’s that going to be? Offices, apartments. Oh, it says it. Flats, offices, and shops. Everything. Oh, I didn’t know you could call it flats anymore. I thought you had to call it apartments. They’re playing by the letter. Ah, perhaps they are playing by the letter. Or is it come back in vogue? Is the word flats the new trendy word for apartments? People are fed up with apartments. Yeah, could be. Yeah. Well, do you think these are apartments on the ground level? I think that’s it, isn’t it? What’s all that up there? More of Yes. But let’s go on. Magic Island. What do they do? Oh, like um characters and stuff. Designer footwear. We’ve got shops available. There we are again. shops on the left and the right hand side. Just keep walking. The road’s amazing, isn’t it? It’s fantastic. I like the way they’ve done this road. Really nice. Now, what do you think these are going to be? Don’t say apartments. You have to say flats. Yeah, they’re flats, aren’t they? Actually, they’re older flats being refurbished. Look behind the scaffolding. Yeah, they’re older. They’re probably apartments. Oh, I see. Like this one. It’s an old hotel apartment. Look. Oh, should we go in there? Let’s have a look. Let’s have a look. Nicia dog shelter charity shop. Let’s go in. I’ve got some cash on me. Oh, Christmas stuff. Hello. Hello. Is that hotel still up and running? I think it is. Oh, look at that. 1960s and ‘7s. Wow. Go back in time. Yeah. Yeah. Some people have just come out. Oh, no. They didn’t look like builders to me. There we are. Carry on through. Anyway, wow. What an extraordinary cosmopolitan place. That’s what I’m calling it. Anyway, look at this coffee house. Some more lovely old buildings on my right hand side. And now we’re coming up to the designer section. Look at this. Now they have finished it early, but they’re not quite finished. Just this little bit here. The little fib there. Nearly finished it early, we should say. And are due to finish it early. I think it opened again. So you can drive down it. Oh, there we are. It opened early and I still believe it’s going to be finished early, guys. We’ve got more paved area here on the left hand side. We’ve got some furniture. Yeah, furniture shop there. Look at that. Keep saying it, don’t I? Old with the new. And it really is old with the new. Look at this old building here with some unique shops. Now, have you got Google Maps on? No, I’m winging it now. Oh dear, that’s not good. So, we’ve left the refurbished High Street and we’re trying to make our way down towards Finigurit or Seafront. Oh, that looks delish. Oh. Oh, very reasonable, isn’t it? They are. They got falafles and lagens. Special lamiguns. Dish. Vegan food. Do you know what guys? This area looks familiar. Oh, it’s MK Nails and Beauty. Look out for the video, guys. We’ll pop in and say hello. And we are due to go back there, aren’t we? I had my nails done there. Yeah, it lasted not long cuz I started painting after. I was told off. So, there we are, guys. If you want nails and beauty and more, this is the place. Have they just won an award for something? Let me show you what they do. They’re a bit busy at the moment, but they do laser hair removal, body slim treatments, they do nails, all sorts, hairdressing. Look at that. There we are. MK Nails and Beauty just won the Cypress Trust Award. Cypress Trust Award. There we are. Look at these lovely flats. Big flats. Massive balconies. [Music] [Applause] How hot do you think it is?
