Looking at getting the LostHorizon 4.5" pad. Description says the R Value is 13. My question is: does anyone have this pad that can speak to is quality/comfort?
For some reason I can’t edit this post. Additional details:
South East US tent camping
Minimum temp expected is 20°F
Likely using a 0°F bag with this.

Stopped using standard air mattresses a couple decades ago for all of the obvious and common reasons, next I gave up on cots. Mostly a Hammock camper these days, but I got into hot tents for the deep winter camps a few years ago. Got the lost horizon full size a couple years ago. Have been extremely happy with it. Best night of tent sleeps I’ve ever had. I still drop those harbor freight foam squares down because of a natural fear of puncture because of days past and a little extra insulation never hurts in winter. I layer a wool blanket on top and drop bed sheets over that. I rock this thing like it’s a bed with good top layers and have never had to cocoon in a bag.

When I car camp, I just use a 3″ cot-sized mattress topper. I understand it does consume vehicle space, but it will never deflate.
