I Traveled 50 km for ONLY $0.40 (Indonesia’s Cheapest Train Adventure)

Is this the world’s most affordable train journey? 🚆🇮🇩

Join me on an incredible 50-kilometer adventure through the heart of Java, Indonesia. We start at the chaotic yet fascinating Manggarai Station in Jakarta the central hub of the city’s massive rail network and head south to the historic “Rain City” of Bogor.

For just 6,000 IDR (approximately $0.40 USD), we navigate through 15 different stations, witnessing the dramatic transition from Jakarta’s towering skyscrapers to the lush, green landscapes of West Java.

In this video, you’ll experience:

• The Manggarai Hub: Navigating Platforms 11 & 12, the gateway to the Bogor Line.

• Local Life : A raw and authentic look at the daily commute of millions of Indonesians.

• The Journey : Passing through key areas like Universitas Pancasila and the bustling suburbs of Depok.

• Arrival in Bogor : Stepping into a city famous for its botanical gardens and colonial history.

Whether you’re a rail enthusiast, a budget traveler, or someone curious about life in Southeast Asia, this journey offers a unique window into the soul of Indonesia.

  1. Pancasila university is smaller than university of Indonesia. Infact the university Indonesia station is between 2 university stations the Pancasila and the Gunadarma… And welcome to Bogor.. you lucky, not get a Bogor heavy rain on your trips😊
