Wow, the view from the summit of Mount Oberon is just spectacular. It's very easy to be proud of this country.
I've lived in Vic since 1990. Need to pull my finger out and have a bloody look around.
Years ago me and a mate went from the main car park at Wilson's Prom to Sealer's Cove to look for a new diving spot. It was on a day when Melbourne was going to have a total eclipse of the sun and it was a pretty tough walk, about 10ks. It was a lot tougher than we expected and took longer than we thought it would. We got there and thought it would be a perfect place to go diving then we wondered why we hadn't seen the total eclipse that was supposed to have already happened. Then we realised that it should have happened three hours earlier. The shadow caused by a full solar eclipse averages 185 kilometres. Sealer's Cove is approximately 225 km southeast of Melbourne. We never saw the eclipse and got back to the carpark around 8PM. Exhausted, sore, scratched by the trees in the darkness and barely alive. 🙂
I love Wilson’s Prom . The beaches are breathtaking. I was there in 2003
I’ve lived in Victoria all my life, born here and NEVER seen a wombat in the bush. Only the zoo I’m so jealous. Wow.
I think the “prom” is the most southern tip of mainland Australia
Amazingly gorgeous !
Fantastic video guys looking forward to your Tasmania one
I love Wilson's prom, such a beautiful place. I have been there with my family and I also had a school camp there when I was younger and that's the one that holds the best memories.out of all the camps 💕💕
Every time I watch one of your vlogs I question our itinerary for our 3 week trip coming up next week!! I know we will have an amazing time but each time you go to somewhere new we look to add it in- only to find its hours and hours from our planned stops! We keep saying we will visit them on the next trip but at this rate we need about two dozen more trips, at least! Love the wombat! Enjoy Tasmania but try not to love it too much or that will be another 2+ trip for us to plan!! 😂
They have such cool names, squeaky beach, picnic beach 😊
"Hike" is a very English word that is seldom used in Australia. When an Australian is talking about something more than a stroll in the park they will likely say "bushwalk".
Wilsons Prom National Park is larger than a lot of pommy Counties.
The Climate is what newly arrived pommies can cope with (except in summer when temps get warmer than 28 degrees centigrade, which is heat wave temp for the English,
5:12 Chilly? Well it IS the Southern Ocean looking towards Antactica via Tasmania. Did you notivce how many locals werre in swimming? Just our English friends! 🤣😊
12:42 the squeaky sound is caused by the high silicone content! Perfect for Glassmaking!
13:05 The Artwork? Yep Granite stones? someone did plant them there, possibly after Noahs flood when the earth settled. a Perfect Palette of not only colours, but features too! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vn-EA7IHqo
If you have queries about how this could happen so quickly – Watch this! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kjdZ3Gs-PTk
One of my neighbours was a commando during the second world war. Before being sent to New Guinea the training was based at Tidal River and every morning they all had to run from were the information centre is now up to the top of Mt Oberon and back before breakfast.
The last six to the top had to run it a second time before breakfast.
It looks like Tasmania? It’s the start of the path that existed during the last ice age, that led to Tassie. A lot of the world’s ancient settlements are now under water.
sad to see the Wilsons prom turned into a tourist area. should have been left to what I remember it. PRESTINE AND WILD.
My dad calls Gippsland God's country ,I was born in Leongatha so I'm a bit biased ❤
Watching this from brisbane, wilsons prom is beautiful ya definatly need 3 days, you will love western australia
Hahaha squeaky beach, what a cute name! Stunning views, another fabulous episode guys x
Hey guys, I'm in my 50's and I've never seen a live wombat in the wild, so you are 1 up on me. Our family have done that wildlife loop twice, and all we've seen are kangaroos and emus. Amazing views from Mt Oberon
