Philippines vs. Southeast Asia: The Real Cost? #shorts
The Philippines has lots to offer, but unless it can compete with Thailand, Vietnam, and Cambodia on price and quality, travelers will choose those countries instead. Go where you’re treated best! #Philippines #TravelTips #SoutheastAsia #NomadCapitalist

59.08 peso to dollar or 31.27 baht to dollar on 1-27-26?😊
I would argue that The Phil is not in competition except with itself (and maybe Malaysia and Vietnam). Ph is christian, everywhere else is mostly not. So culturally and morally there is a lot of commonality. To me (and I've dated all over Asia) there are few places where culture and religion do not bite you in the hinny down the road in a long term relationship. And since you can't really take your Asian back to the west today, you really need to do long term IN ASIA. PH hands down least risk to long term IMO.
Perhaps but as a retirement destination, the wide use of English and the more friendly culture probably offsets all that for most people. Also, if someone is so broke that they have to choose someplace cheaper than the Philippines, becoming an expat is probably going to end in disaster anyway. Bottom line is that uf**king yourself has nothing to do with geography.
I need to to drive on the right side.
"Bang for your buck?" Are bar fines cheaper elsewhere?
