We Upgraded Our Motorhome Pitch… Is THIS Camping in France? 🇫🇷

Our six-week France campervan road trip continues as we leave the Mediterranean coast behind and head inland towards Millau, travelling through some of the most spectacular scenery we’ve experienced while motorhoming in France.

This time we’re returning to Sandaya Les Rivages, one of Beckie’s favourite campsites from our previous trip to France. But we’re doing things a little differently…

We’ve gone PREMIUM!

Our fully serviced motorhome pitch comes with its own private bathroom and shower, washing-up facilities, fridge and covered decked dining area, giving us our own little home from home right beside the motorhome.

But is upgrading your pitch actually worth the extra money?

After leaving our previous Sandaya campsite earlier than planned, we already knew Les Rivages and Millau had plenty to offer. This time we’re exploring more of the town, enjoying an unexpected evening of live orchestral music and putting this campsite to the test for a second time.

And for families, there’s plenty here. An incredible swimming complex with slides, splash areas and an adults-only pool, plus what might just be one of the best campsite play parks we’ve found in France.

Of course, travelling France by motorhome doesn’t always go perfectly. From an unexpected problem with our wing mirror on the journey in to a rather unpleasant surprise waiting on our pitch, this adventure has a few challenges along the way too!
