Blacklane is giving Londoners a reason to keep the night going, launching a limited-edition chauffeur experience designed to uncover the capital’s best after-hours spots.
London’s late-night scene is getting a spontaneous upgrade this summer as global chauffeur service Blacklane launches ‘Shortcut to Summer’, inviting guests to add one unexpected stop to their evening between 9pm and 5am.
Taking place across 14 and 15 August 2026, the experience will see selected Blacklane by-the-hour journeys transformed into an opportunity for an extra adventure, with guests able to discover some of London’s hidden late-night restaurants, cultural venues, wellness spots and sunrise viewpoints.

At the heart of the campaign is The Blacklane Button. Guests travelling in one of the limited-edition vehicles will receive the Shortcut to Summer Collection, highlighting a selection of London experiences designed for the small hours.
From basement jazz and late-night cocktails to sunrise walks and dawn viewpoints, the collection is designed to encourage guests to make the most of the city rather than heading straight home.
Once The Blacklane Button is pressed, the chauffeur knows the evening isn’t over just yet, with the service extending for up to two hours to allow for one final spontaneous stop before taking guests home or onwards to their next destination.

One of the highlights of the collection is Archive & Myth, Blacklane’s official partner for the campaign.
The hidden cocktail bar, located inside The Hippodrome in Leicester Square, offers an intimate late-night escape featuring a sensory-led drinks programme and Old Hong Kong-inspired bites from Chop Chop by Four Seasons.
Guests who arrive at Archive & Myth via The Blacklane Button will receive a dedicated table and a complimentary drink, giving the spontaneous detour an extra incentive.
How to Experience Blacklane’s Shortcut to Summer
To take part, guests need to book a Blacklane by-the-hour chauffeur journey in London for 14 or 15 August 2026, with journeys taking place between 9pm and 5am.
Selected guests travelling in the campaign’s limited-edition first-class vehicles will be able to use the experience and receive the additional stop with Blacklane’s compliments.

Bringing Back Spontaneity to London Nights
The launch comes as London’s late-night economy continues to face challenges. Blacklane cites Night Time Industries Association figures showing that the UK’s late-night economy shrank by 27% between March 2020 and June 2025, while many hospitality venues increasingly close earlier in the evening.
With Shortcut to Summer, Blacklane is aiming to challenge the idea that the night has to end when the last planned destination closes.
Whether that means catching live jazz, grabbing a late-night cocktail, exploring the city before sunrise or simply following a chauffeur’s recommendation, the campaign is all about leaving room for one more adventure.
