“Hate lies in your fear based life.“
After their show at the New Cross Inn in London sold out almost instantly, Nails graciously gave us another opportunity to catch them at the bigger yet still cosy Scala in London which also sold out very quickly. Nails are either clearly more beloved than their booking agent thinks they are, or these smaller shows are intentional by the band to create better atmospheres for their brand of punishing art. Alongside Nails were Chilean black metal hardcore punk project Invunche, Finnish grindcore veterans Rotten Sound, and d-beat crust punkers Wolfbrigade. Each act filled the room with their own unique vicious energy, as bodies flew over the barrier and fists were launched into the air. It’s only a matter of time before Nails are headlining much bigger rooms than this, there’s just something about their rage that strikes a cord with so many people. You can’t go to any show or festival without seeing at least one piece of Nails merch. With new double single Fear Based Life in tow and hopefully more material on the horizon, hopefully it won’t be too much longer before we see them on UK shores once more.
