If you're departing from Narita and not Haneda, forget the bus. Lived in Tokyo for 11 years and the NEX is always better than the buses. The express trains are always reliable.
I lived in Japan and still travel there quite often. The airport limousine buses are great, so much better than dragging luggage around on a train. Whether travelling from Haneda or Narita airports.
