6 million people visit the Grand Canyon each year. Less than 1% of those spend the night IN the Grand Canyon. It’s another world down there!

  1. Awww …poor Lyndsey ! I bet she recovered quickly? What a trooper! Great hike. I sure enjoyed it (from my nice, comfortable couch!). Haha 😅 ❤.

  2. I do enjoy seeing your travels. Not able to travel at this point, so seeing places and things thru your eyes and camera is the next best thing. Thank you for taking us along. God bless you and your family.

  3. As retirees there are just some hikes we won’t attempt any longer. But is certainly is nice to go along with you on your “Journeys”. Thank you for sharing your adventures ❤

  4. I’ve entertained the thought of hiking down to the bottom of the canyon. But this video was a dose of reality for me. Thank you for taking us along. I’m sure I will not be attempting it now.😂

  5. Thank you for sharing your amazing adventure! It's oh so important to go with the flow and I'm glad you didn't give up when your first hike was cancelled.

  6. My dad also used to build roads and bridges. =) <3
He'd often stop at one under construction to explain the what, why and how of what was going on. Every time I see a cool bridge or a road being built I reflect on those times and smile.

  7. I want to do this so badly! Our first big RV trip was 11 ppl (4 adults, 6 kids) in an old class A from N. Alabama to The GC. I had full intentions of hiking down and back – husband popped his Achilles tendon 1/4 mile down the Bright Angel and NO ONE from the other family practiced hiking more than to the mailbox and back. Sigh. So, what time of year was this??

  8. More power to you guys – I've not heard of people overnighting it along the trails – I didn't know they still did the mules – I had heard they were discontinued gees like when Il was living in AZ (1990-1995). Thank you for the trip down and up – now I can say I've seen it – lived there and never made it to the Grand Canyon. Did you all walk out on the glass botton ledge? Love ya

  9. I sure am glad y'all refrained from poking Lindsay in the leg. I keep telling Tania how similar her and Marissa are, and when she saw Marissa "surviving" by bundling up in the tent, she was like, "yep, I see it." Oh, and I raised my hand when Stewart raised his hand.

  10. Excellent attempt! Great videography. Expertly edited. Terrific job……but you can’t show anyone the immense nature of the Grand Canyon unless they see it, hike it, experience it – in person. But – well done!

  11. Nice! We're here right now! My husband is a rim to rim to rim runner in one day lol. He's cray cray! 😂 Unfortunately the north rim is still closed so not gonna happen this trip. 2 years ago I hiked rim to rim in one day. It took some training but it was one of my most memorable and epic hikes. So glad you got to be be the very very few that go to the bottom of the canyon! ❤

  12. Love your videos involving National Parks. The Grand Canyon in one of my favorite National Parks. On my 50th birthday last year, I hiked Rim to Rim. Started on the North Rim to the South Rim up Bright Angel trail.

  13. We backpacked in the Canyon for 16 years in a row. We were not able to get a permit this year. We have done several different trails. We have done the Rim-2Rim-2Rim three times. Needless to say we LOVE the Grand Canyon 🙂

  14. Omg! I laughed so hard through this video!! I've watched your videos for 2 yrs and this one was the best. 😂 The honesty is so right on 😂 I've been to the Grand Canyon and hiked the Kaibab trail all the way down and up the next day in January (yrs ago). You're right it's beautiful!! It's on my list to do it again ❤ Keep up with your journey. You inspire so many people.

  15. That looked so cool to do…wonder if my 65+yo butt/legs could make it. I know my asthmatic lungs would complain but that’s what inhalers are for right?
I felt that cold! We bought a cabin type tent (for our large dog) which had a screened roof & was soooo cold when we stayed a few nights in the Rockies! It’s so hard.

  16. Years ago my mom and her mom and I went to the Grand canyons.
Grandma would not ride a donkey down through it with mom and I so she road the helicopter down and waited on us.
It's was so much fun and exciting too.
    I was a teen then.
But my husband and I plus family went to it again and see it.
We got on the glass ledge they built years ago and it was just so beautiful.
    Thank you for sharing this.
Our LORD is an amazing artist amen.

  17. Oh man.. so much nastalgia. My husband and I travel nursed in Az area and did many overnights in the wildnerness there. Not Grand Can but we did Havasu but could only get one overnight so we went up and down plus extra day hiking thru all falls, I was hobbling afterwards too 😸 Yall did an awesome job & Marissa if u go again, you dont need to be cold at night lol Holler at me and I can share w you what bag I got to stay warm. I swore Id never be freezin again haha Who knew the desert could be so dag on cold! -Ash

  18. I did the hike down to the river and up in one day thirty years ago. I wish I had that body now to do it again, but… thank you for going for me!
