What's the issue with people building homes? People live in those "private apartments"! That typa "it's gotta be perfect" idea is why housing is so expensive in the US

Neiwport well worth a visit. It was on the front line in the first world war hence the damage. The king stayed in de panne virtually the only piece not occupied
Knocke is a nice town too worth a visit.
First if all the cyclist is in the wrong and shouldn't have done what they did. Some observations though. In my experience, cars barely ever stop for buses pulling out indeed it is not uncommon for cars to overtake cyclists who are holding back to allow buses to pull out.
There is no mention of the car which cut across the two cyclists in order to turn left.
There is clearly more demand for pedestrians to cross there than there are vehicles to cross but knowing typical urban layouts vehicles have more green time than pedestrians and so this is an engineering failure.
The pedestrians don't feel threatened by cyclists and consider them to be less of a danger than cars otherwise they would've been less likely to walk out in front of the cyclist and this is just another video where you "other" cyclists as bring bad when it is cars which pose the most danger to other road users and as a driving instructor this should be your number 1 priority.
I lived in De Panne 10 years ago, also took the coast tram several times to ostende and also Blankenberge. Those trams sure look a lot more modern, I was on the older models which was also nice. Really enjoyed your video, brought back some good memories. Thanks for sharing.

Great video. Just goes to show how well they do trams in Europe. By the way, I think I’ve become a curryvurst fan when I was in Austria & Germany last week. Two different ways of presenting curryvurst, in Germany I had fried potatoes in an Austrian cafe it came with a bread roll. Anyway it was great.

When you were in De Panne I thought maybe you would eat a pizza. A De Panne pizza….As for the price of the tram ticket, you can't Knokke the value for money of it.

Two new bridges are being built meaning that changes en route are necessary, but after the summer should be one tram all the way.
Hmm not stopping in de haan is a shame, its the only orginal village on the belgium coast.
The tram can be even cheaper! If you get a 10 ticket card, it's 17€, so 1,70€ each ride.
interesting comment about developers in De Panne. Those hideous concrete blocks seem to line every part of the seaside – they made think of some ghastly resort on the Costas when I visited 10-11 years ago. They should get the developers' treatment!
The Coastal Tram is the last remaining route of the old Belgian Vicinal, a state-owned company set up to develop local, light railways in Belgium. Parts of the Charleroi metro use old Vicinal routes. About half of the network was electrified and ran on metre gauge tracks. The whole network was nearly 3000 miles in length, not bad for such a small country ! I remember seeing a Vicinal tram on its track beside the road when on a coach trip from Oostend. We were on holiday there in 1960
You had the honor to drive with de 'zeelijner' (sealiner). 2 years old this summer. In Antwerp it's called the 'stadslijner' (cityliner) and will be used from this summer.
If you are in Belgium again, visit Antwerp, there you have a 14 km of 'premetro'. A tram line thats a combination of a normal tramline and a metroline.
