During the dark days of covid lockdowns, I spent most of my time researching the places I planned to visit once the world opened up again. One of these places was Mestia, a townlet in the Caucasus Mountains. From here, it was possible to do a 4 day trek to the townlet of Ushgili.
I had forgotten about this possibility until someone reminded me about it in the Bao Hostel in Kutaisi.
The weather forecast didn’t look promising so I decided to head up to Mestia and take it from there. I was blown away by the beauty of the area.
Join me as I discover the breathtaking beauty of the Svaneti region of Georgia!

Amazing views Scott, what was the chunky big soup like you never said? Great vid mate 👍
Bravo, Scott! I have an intention to go there now. Medieval houses, mmmm! Georgian hospitality!
Where did you get most of good impressions- in Turkey or in Georgia?
