      No one I know goes to Vegas anymore. We get better value out of cruising or even Disney World. We used to go to CVegas every other year, sometimes even once or twice a year, as an inexpensive getaway for 3 to 4 nights, and becasue it wasn't expensive, we didn't really mind dropping a bit of money in the casinos. Now we may as well drive a couple hours down to Eagle Pass and play at Kickapoo Reservation casino for a couple nights.

      Casino Royale will be gone. Just doesn’t go with everything else in the area. Also it stinks in that area and a lot of homeless. Also was pickpocketed there a month ago. Saying that it’s my favorite place to play slots 😂. Quick drink service and sketchy as F 😅. Definitely will miss it

      Formula one is already damaging, the hard earned brand-name they have in the US. They tried to get a foothold for 45 years. They finally have it and they’re doing this?

      I have mixed feelings about what is happening. I was married in Vegas 1970. Lasted 46 years until she passed. Anyway. When the Mob controled it, it was cheap and fun. $50 TIP got us froont row to see Elvis.
      Now my relative who is high up at the Wynn tells me there are $1000000 packages available, for F1, at the hotel. They call it progress. Still i lo e it and my new wife and i go 6 times a year. Only for the entertainment as we are NOT gamblers.

      I just got back from vaca there last week. One pain in the a’’ was road crews had part of the roads shut down for repairs and that made traffic even more hell on the strip.

      I have a soft spot for the Mirage, so it continues to make me sad to see Hard Rock wiping it off the Strip. I just got an opportunity to go in late September/early October. Looking forward to it! I'll have to study up on your vlogs to see where to eat and what to do! Thank you for the update on the state of things!

      I have seen the redesigned rooms for mgm. Its a light tan color and new lighting. Modern desert esthetic I have a few pics it looks ok but could have been better

      Booooo on the Carnival World buffet not returning. And isn't 350 million a low amount for renovating a property as large as The Rio?

      My maternal family been in Las Vegas since the late 1930s and my paternal side been here since the 1970s. I was born in the early 1990s and can indefinitely say I do not like the direction my hometown is going. Sadly I am not surprised since everything became corporate and became less about the people from all walks of life. What made Las Vegas so unique to me growing up was the fact this place catered to all walks of life from all levels of wealth. A low income couple or family could’ve had just as much fun if not more fun then the high rollers and whales that come to the city. It seems as though the city is just starting to cater to the 20% of the tourist that comes to the city and is basically saying “F off” to everyone else. Las Vegas is a place with no true culture, I will give in to that yet, being able to come into a place and do whatever you wanted and legit create your own adventure from any price point made this place special. Now, I am not liking the future I see with my hometown and it makes me sad. I already don’t know the city like I use to anymore due to so many places from my childhood and early adult years being closed down, owners retiring, or they closed and never reopened due to 2020. Now! It’s only going to be about high rollers and that’s not going to be a good thing come 10 – 15 years. Yet by the time corporate Las Vegas realizes the mistakes made and endless money pits they created it will be too late. I won’t be hearing during my travels around this Earth from people they want to come visit Las Vegas anymore. This place will become a memory of what once was a cool place to vacation.

      We used to go to Vegas a few times a year but no more. It has become much too expensive and walking on the Strip is just not fun anymore. There are many other cities that offer gambling and aren’t as expensive. The fun is gone

      Hold on though. The MLB has to vote on the A's moving. That's unlikely to get approval. It's more likely 2 expansion teams one in Montreal and one in Vegas get approved.

      The Rich ruin everything. I've seen this BS in Laguna Beach, Carmel, Taos, NM, Telluride, CO, La Jolla…I could go on. Any place that has an art colony or creative aspect, gets taken over by these ghouls who are chasing 'cool" because they are so NOT. Parasites, the lot of them. Won't be goin to Vegas anytime soon. Pfft.

      I haven't been back since the 80's. It does not look like fun anymore. I loved the good reasonably priced food and shows. Too bad that all changed.

      I have lived here in Vegas for 28 years. Back when Siegfried and Roy ruled the town. There was no traffic, stores were open 24/hrs. You can drive to the strip and park anywhere you want for free. Prices were low. It's an absolute nightmare now. I rarely go across town. There are homeless people moving into my once peaceful neighborhood. Stores have everything locked behind glass. It seems the low life, unintelligent species just keep reproducing and destroying cities across the country. I'm ready to leave this planet.

      First of What were his actual charges? Why would anyone pay if it’s alleged? They always replace bad behavior with fancy words. F1 ~ isn’t flying coach so the airlines are losing money. The locals are also loosing money and time being trapped to and from work. The extra permit fee is a waste and majority of regular people don’t have that kind of money. Finally the bed bug outbreaks that they always had for the past decades seems to of gotten worse who in their right mind loves bed bugs, the fake glamour is to obvious now. This event is for people with money and Las Vegas will loose more than gain.

      I’m in Vegas right now leaving tomorrow morning and the mess that F1 has caused is insane. Not only is traffic a giant mess but now they’re gonna charge hotels like planet Hollywood a fortune to keep their view. All that’s gonna cause is prices of rooms to increase. That stadium being built on the strip won’t help traffic either. God forbid the 40 million square lightyears of space around the strip be used. Instead let’s making the south end of the strip just as much of a hassle to drive through that the rest of the strip already is.
