*PLEASE read the details below if you are planning your own roadtrip here* 🙂
Aboriginal held land in Australia is private property and to travel through, you need permission often in the form of a permit. For Kiwirrkurra Country, a permit allows you to travel along the main road, into community and camp at approved campsites. Access into any other areas aside from this is still prohibited. More information on traveling through Kiwirrkurra country can be found at https://www.tjamutjamu.com/travelling-to-kiwirrkurra-country and https://kiwirrkurra.au/. The Kiwirrkurra Traditional Owners thank you for respecting their culture and country.
ALSO! If you are looking to buy Aboriginal art, make sure you buy from the most ethical sources which are community artist-owned art galleries and collectives. For Kiwirrkurra art you can purchase through Papunya Tula Artists (https://papunyatula.com.au/). For other Central Australian Aboriginal art, visit Desart for more information at https://desart.com.au/ Thank you 🙂

Who are Kara and Nate?!
Watch our documentary here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FuFv4iF8wgg&t=1s
Originally from Nashville, Tennessee, we got married 2013 and were super “normal.” I was a teacher and Nate started a small printing business from the spare bedroom of our apartment.
We discovered the world of “travel hacking” while planning our honeymoon & became addicted 😉
So after 2 years of obsessively saving $35k and over 2 million miles and points, we sold our cars and apartment and left home January 10, 2016 for a “one year” trip around the world.
Our goal was to see as many places as possible before we ran out of money and went back home to “normal life.” We started this channel to share our experiences with friends and family, but quickly fell in love with living on the road and found a new passion for capturing our travels through video. So we did everything we could to keep going.
4 years later, we achieved our new goal of visiting 100 countries and all 7 continents. We had no plans to slow down, until 2020 forced us to 😉 Which is when we bought a converted van to start exploring our own country for the first time!
After ~2 years of van life, we are back to full time international traveling! And now we are finding the best adventures the world has to offer 🙂
We are incredibly grateful to be able to continue doing something we love every day. 😊🎥🌎 Thank you to everyone who has been a part of our journey!

Here's PART 2!! https://youtu.be/OZ9cpQ1PWBU 🐪 Hope you love it ☺
Some of the cars will be owned by young indigenous men. Ran into the ground and dumped.
Nate, please teach all husbands how to treat their wives! Coffee for her EVERY SINGLE TIME! You 'da man!
Nate, please shave off the facial hair. You’re very attractive without it. Don’t hide that!
Awesome video
I can't believe that you still say I can believe we're doing this yet you keep doing more you can't believes 🤔 😂 ❤️
Why did my brain freeze when you met the first couple who took you hunting for grubs and they sounded nothing like my brain thought they should. Needless to say I had to rewatch that section several times. Then 💡 oh Australia Steve Erwin ah they are supposed to sound that way. 😮 😂😂😂 🙄
Of course out of 3.62 million subscribers someone in the most remote town in Australia knows Kara and Nate. If you don't who are you really. 😁
Of course Karas driving shook the pickle jar open. 😂😂😂
And oh by cat I thought they meant big cat not household cat they should clarify. 👀
All this praise about visiting the outback, Alice Springs is a disaster. Interview the local baker thats been broken into and vandalised 12 times as of a few months ago. Talk about the 4 year old girl with chlamydia who was abused in her home by a family member. The aboriginal youth are running out of control. There on the street because home isn't safe or clean. Broken windows and doors, rotten food on floors, urine and feces in the house that they where given. Cops have their hands tied and the government does nothing. Its beyond sad, these kids deserve to feel safe as do the locals trying to live thier lives and run businesses.
Welcome ❤
Wow.. thanks for sharing this video.. ive seen the best stars.. love it.. im getting to love this country.
10:31 good luck at a out back barn
Well done Kara & Nate 😊 If you ever came to my part of Canada, it would be my pleasure to show you around the miner’s village at the Cape Breton Miner’s Museum. And the best part of the whole experience? Having an underground coal mine tour, with a retired miner as your guide. You and Nate would learn just how hard the coal miners had it.
Thank you so much for taking us along with you on your incredible journey. Being introduced to the artist sisters was so amazing.
Amazing absolutely amazing. Love from south Australia. I hope you realise that a lot of Aussies never see what you have seen.
Cant believe you in OZ and didnt tell me.
It was so good to see that feral cat bounty sign. 20 million feral cats in Australia. If the federal government was serious in getting rid of the cats this is the bounty thats needed across all Australia, it would also get the unemployed off centrelin, thereby reducing the outlay of the bounty. Just getting rid of one cat makes a big difference. Imagine the pile of dead cats the first day after a nationwide bounty was introduced.
Cant believe you two survived. You really need to be prepped to go Outback. All those burnt out cars. Have you not seen Wolf Creek.
Did Kara and Nate meet Eamon’s Australian doppelgänger?!
camp site is infested with flies…. lol…. australia is mate…. get used to it
19:54 I LOVE RKS!!!
