  1. Yes, thanks for mentioning "French" fries are actually Belgian! 😁 Bring on the bears hehe Nice fishtank, also with the picture behind it, looks cool!

  2. I totally get why you would want to live elsewhere in the world. You cannot earn a living in Bali, however it’s very hard for Winnie to leave her family too.
Big choices ahead for you both. Wherever you are you will be together ❀

  3. Re:Canada…. Work in the north for a mining company for example -northern Ontario or the Yukon, etc. Make some big money and get out back to Bali where living is much cheaper and you don't have to freeze your rear end off for seven months a year.Canada is great when the weather is ok but the winters are long, cold and dark-like Poland. I rent a two bedrom home on Bali for $1350.00 per year. That is the cost to rent a room in most places in Canada-PER MONTH-if you don't rent in a city.Think about how long it will take to save any money renting and working in Canada.

  4. Unfortunately Damian you are faced with a big dilemma. You obviously can’t work in Bali and earn a living. Winnie doesn’t want to leave her parents. So as we say in Australia my friend you are stuffed. Keep dreaming though, sometimes that’s all you have in this life.

  5. Very informative and interesting Q & A vlog πŸ‘Œ i hope you will will find a place you can call home in a 1st world country. I do get it that the Bali weather is not enough to make a better life. Bali is a holiday place for sure. All the best for your & Winnie's future πŸ™πŸ»β™₯οΈπŸ™πŸ»πŸ˜

  6. I would skip going up the CN tower especially if the weather isn't clear, it is pricey being a tourist hotspot. I would take the ferry to the island instead if you are going into the city. On the weekend you could check out Evergreen Brickworks, walking to it on the Kay Gardner beltline.

  7. Yes, a dilemma. I think find a niche closer to Bali, so Winnie can get back fast if she needs. Perth, Singapore, Malaysia, Darwin. Start applying for jobs, because I am sure Winnie will find work. You need to get those roots down and start making good money. Make a 10 year plan. Money isn't everything, but my goodness, it's tough without a fair income. I chose to leave an excellent job at 58 as both parents were in need of help. Once I got them settled in Aged care, their choice, I could have continued to work, but suddenly no one wants to employ you. Also we were unable to have children, as we left it too late. Regretted it at the time. Life is so short. Big opportunities ahead for you both. Above all, you must be happy in yourselves. Enjoyed your frankness. Good travels tomorrow.

  8. I lived half of my life in Turkey other half in Alberta, Canada My wife from Indonesia visited Bali many many times, Canada is beautiful country life standards is high but you work alot here to pay the bills you have nice car and house but you feel something missing in your life winter where I live minus 30 to 40 C if you asked me i would choose to live in Bali because of kids school stuff you can't leave country also but there is always minus plus everywhere.

  9. Go to the CN Tower. Have a meal or a drink in the restaurant up there (I'm assuming it's still there). My wife is from Toronto. She watched the CN Tower being constructed.

  10. Very interesting Damian, living in most 1 st year country someone can only survive well if they are very well educated with a degree or if they get very lucky with a good job. For me l would choose a more simple life and not the rat race chasing money.
    Safe travels.

  11. Interesting Q&A Damian. Totally understand you wanting to move. If you and Winnie move to Poland, it would be interesting to see vlogs from neighbouring countries. Hope we can catch up for lunch or a kopitime in Bali when you’re back. We arrive 2 days before the date you said you’re returning.

  12. Great vlog with interesting questions and answers. We wish you and Winny all the best wherever you choose to live in the world 🌍😊 WOOHOO Bangkok with you …. bring it on πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ We are super super excited 😁😁😁

  13. Hi Damian. Interesting observations about Canada, Poland & US. Delightful to walk in Poland whereas in Bali the road-traffic noise & pollution is always present. What about Australia? Wishing you & Winnie the best! Good idea planning now. Bali offers great people, culture, variety & change but not predictability!
