Welcome onboard Lufthansa CityLine (CL/CLH) on approach to Dresden, Germany (DRS/EDDC). I was flying on a Bombardier CRJ900 on behalf of Lufthansa Regional from Munich. This was my first encounter with Dresden’s airport, and I must say: it felt like a little bit of a ghost town. Though the airport has 12 gates, there were no other planes there when we arrived. It seems that the airport’s main attraction is the maintenance facility on its grounds, as I noticed multiple widebody aircraft on my return back to Munich a few days later.
