Top 5 Restaurants & Bistros in Paris (for Beef Bourguignon)

In this video we are looking for the best B bino in Paris and we have places from all around the city and all of them are amazing but some of them serve it in a ways that will surprise you it melts in your mouth and in the end we’ll tell

You what our topics are on today we’re in Shea ver which is right on R Christine around the corner from Ry in San and this place is famous for having the best beef borgon in Paris and we’re going to find out today they have a whole bunch of stuff that is

Really interesting here they have the onion soup roasted camar and of course the B that’s what I’m having today so I did ask him for a burgundy and he recommended another wine um and I usually trust the waiter cuz they know better oh yes that looks

Delicious oh yeah so that’s soy song is a special kind of pork from a special farm and they put just a little bit of liver in there to give it a kick and I don’t know if I ever had soy with liver or not oh yeah that is a very soft so with

Just robust flavor it just wakes it up you don’t taste the liver it just really wakes up the pork so this is roet or aruga with mushrooms and Parmesan I don’t know if it’s the quality of the olive oil or just a secret sauce recipe but some places get

The dressing exactly right that completely accentuates the other flavors in the salad this is an amazing salad if the main course is anything like this salad we’re in for a good meal oh yeah there we are me it literally like there is no cutting you don’t need a knife you need

A spoon and a fork Colleen you made a big mistake not getting a bino today I know it’s his but I can’t Resist it has a reputation for being one of the best B bingu in Paris and I concur wow this has been cooking for days it melts in your mouth it literally melts in your mouth okay this is extraordinary the bar was here they raised it to that level this is

Extraordinary if you’re looking for an amazing Bud bu in your experience there’s no question this a place is wow I’m having lunch and be it’s something else I’m telling you I’m just and I’ve had some pretty amazing but this is I’m going to sneak over here and take a

Piece it’s tender A lot of them are tender it’s subtle and profound at the same time that is amazing I’m not voting yet cuz we’ll decide at the end but it’s going to be tough to be yeah so today we’re at De which of course is in L and of course they’re

Known for their B and this is a great place to get a B onion soup and today we’re having the beef B to see how it Stacks up against the other excellent beef Borgo restaurants in Paris sometimes you got to order your own before I B Boro we got this FY

Breast with mushroom and cream sauce and it’s perfect cuz it looks like a semi light appetizer and I’ve never heard of a Parry breast with anything other than sweet oh this is delightful oh wow oh La look at that little larden uh P grui or P gray little carrot I don’t know what that is oh it’s a little baby uh com feed onion oh look at that look at that I mean I’m going gently and this is all coming apart so let’s try

That wow this is n know why they have a good reputation for bino they know how to do that this is really Good at that just falls Apart yeah this stuff has been slow cooked for a long time with just the right seasonings and flavors they cook that long and slow and just great had amazing but you that’s Delicious if you’re overwhelmed looking for restaurants in Paris we put this online guide together with 100 of our favorite places to eat here in Paris including directions everything by neighborhood super easy to use there’s a link in the description below check it out and see if it’s for you

So today we are in the Cafe De Muse in the heart of lari we’re literally like a couple of blocks away from PL de and today we’re meeting up with Mick our nephew which is Vincent’s son and we’re going to have lunch with him so we’re

Going to see what he thinks of this de oh I never saw the Scargo and mushrooms before in Paris I’m going to start right over here are you already us starting with the bread I’m afraid to take a bite because you could see the steam coming off of it uhhuh but

That this is the escargo and that’s the mushroom so instead of being in a shell it’s like that oh this is so delicate I love it this is how I want to eat escargo now inside of a mushroom cap so that’s actually a very interesting presentation

All the others had the potatoes but this one has a little plate of mashed potato with uh your buff beef Borgo next to it so then you have to make a little volcano here that’s the rule right that make yeah M knows that right we know it

As mashed potato mountain and gravy Lake look at that yeah it’s oh what gravy no it’s not a gravy leg it’s a volcano right you put your meat there all that looks oh man oh look at this oh with the lardone at the bottom oh this is going to be amazing I’m

Putting the whole thing in my plate and then you get the sauce and this is oh yeah grab a little larden I’m going to put a little volcano eruption there oh look at that mashed potato po what’s actually interesting is that that’s a meal that you get at every school

Cafeteria and let me tell you it doesn’t look like the the lunch from the school cafeteria this one is different than other beef burger we’ve had because it comes with mashed potatoes I can taste a little bit of wine in here that I don’t remember tasting in some of the other

Ones it’s Unique and fabulous all at the same time even the the the the carrots you can see like they’re full of flavor and you can feel the wine in the the in in the the the sauce look at this I mean I don’t know why they give you a knife it

Should give you a fork and a spoon because I mean there’s no cutting I’m just pulling gently and everything comes off with a carrot here look at this look at this Bite there’s a different flavor about it and I think it’s because of the uh the mashed potatoes with it so today we are CH Josephine D we are not too far from s kind of like between S and M area but this place is definitely French because I think I’m

The only non-french person in the whole place again should be good and I’ve heard from any people that came in this restaurant this is one of the best experience they had it’s a very old typical uh Parisian Restaurant so they gave us this little appetizer which is

Warm I think I heard him saying caulif FL oh yeah so it’s a cauliflower Kool that they give you you didn’t ask for it very nice touch oh it’s really good it’s a cold day in Paris and this is exactly what U the doctor prescribed oh normally the beef foron comes in a

Pot and it’s got potatoes and carrots and things in it but this one came with a tagel which is kind of like a fetuccini noodle oops oh my goodness look at that oh man oh meat and sauce oh my goodness that looks amazing look at this

Falling a oh man that might be the softest bits of meat ever oh my mouth is watering for the year that has the flavor of any beef forol like I can taste the carrots and the potatoes even though I’m eating it with pasta which is insane but it’s so good

Yeah look at this meat look I mean it just completely falls Apart now I know what this is it’s got the reputation for being amazing cuz it truly is this is really amazing and of course you wash this down with a P from the burgundy region burgundy yeah I’m a happy man cheers today we’re at sha Renee in the Latin

Quarter just a block away from the sen and this place is known for amazing beef porgo let’s put it to the test and see what they’ve got so this is saute J mushrooms yeah with a little bit of parsley no doubt a bunch of garlic but

Oh yeah this is a special today it may not be on the menu when you Come that’s a really like there’s butter but it’s also a very buttery mushroom it’s not like a button mushroom I’m used to in the US where they all look pretty much the same this is very good the butter and um it’s actually not yeah it’s not too

Buttery for me it’s buttery like a wine I’m barely done with my champagne and I got this one so day drinking is a thing in France just saying go with the flow oh look at that look at but Daniel Br Minimum 6 hour they for 6 hours they cook this for 6 hours I think I’m going to be pretty full today but oh my God that looks fabulous it does oh my God so this classic stuff with the whole potato here we take a little bit of that it’s all

Falling apart I mean if you cook something for 6 hours it’ll do that yeah and of course watch oh yeah that fell apart too I was expecting it to yeah yeah just yeah when your BFF Borgo is done right it falls apart you barely have to chew

It’s really good look at that a yeah as colen say yeah just that if you’re looking for an amazing bbo and you’re in the Latin quarter that’s definitely the place to stop I’m going to have a little bit of potato with it that potato just that’s a

Big chunk of potato let me take a smaller piece it falls apart yeah it falls apart like everything falls apart everything melts in your mouth this is amazing B borino look at that with a piece of bacon and some meat and oh pause the video go online buy a plane

Ticket come here and have this experience take my word for it Grand merer that’s right mer Danelle I don’t know why he brought us these extra plates cuz this is M wait wait a minute you know why don’t you film all of it except for this piece right here

Right there uhhuh is pure yumminess you should have got your own you should you should have got your own I’m filming ding this is for the cause I have a bigger stew I have something bigger are you attacking it from the south I don’t know know why you

Resist this is the way to finish a meal when you had a b it’s surprisingly light the Apple just melts in your mouth even my mother’s apple pie was not that good mine’s better yes I said it course mine’s better yours is absolutely better D because we’ve been here before the

Waiter brought us this bottle and I said what is this and it says just open it and help yourself so he gave us two glasses and a bottle this could be a Tipsy afternoon with an early nap I’m walking into this PE pet that’s a mar de Bon and it is a 40%

Alcohol something which is pressed just right yeah it’s a a special press special process and it’s very smooth it’s a lot softer than a than a cognac it’s just a boy is it easy to drink definitely an early n kind of Day so we tried five of the best beef borgano in Paris and we promised we would give you our top picks there are things that are fabulous about each and every one but if I was choosing one place to go back to to take a guest I

Would go with sha Renee and I would go back there because it’s light it’s very classic very traditional and I just like old school traditional what’s your pick Antoine well like you said Colleen like all those B are amazing but for me was sh Christine which is on Christine that

Bino was absolutely amazing I love the atmosphere of the restaurant I love the the the the service was uh was great and the B bino was out of this world this is really what I’ll consider in 2023 to be the best B if you like what you saw in

This video next I would watch this one with a compilation of 36 of our favorite restaurants in Paris

We tried 5 of the best restaurants & bistros in Paris for beef bourguignon. Stay tuned until the end to find out which one is number one in Paris.

  1. Thank you fr the Bourguignon tour. I really like the two that used the mashed potatoes and the egg noodles. I love when a restaurant puts its own spin on a classic. Hope you both + Vincent (and families) have a wonderful Christmas holiday and healthy and happy 2024. Appreciate all of the time invested to share the best of France.

  2. Great video as always. Also: if you follow the recipe in Julia Child's "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" it'll come out very much like the beef Bourguignon at Josephine Chez Dumonet. Great way to spend a cold winter weekend day. Just be sure to buy a nice chuck roast and cut it; don;' get "stew meat." (Also … please tell me you got the souffle at Josephine …)

  3. Le bœuf bourguignon challenge!!! Another great video you guys!! 👏👏👏Love Antoine’s maestro symphony after tasting the dish at Chez Fernand. As a foodie myself I just knew from his dancing fingers and sparkling eyes that this was the one for him. Colleen you were a little more difficult to read. Your videos are so so helpful. We’re planning a trip to France next year and are definitely going to eat at some if not at all of the restaurants in this video. You map it out for us so nicely. BTW love to see the bill at the end, and really like when you let us browse the menu at each location. Thank you so much for these great France escapades. Merry Christmas to you!!

  4. I don’t know how you could possibly choose—they all looked fabulous to me! But the best part of any of your videos is watching you enjoy yourselves; your enthusiasm is contagious. Joyeux Noël Colleen, Antoine & Vincent & your families!

  5. My mom made the most amazing beef bourguignon, and her onion soup broth was outstanding. People used to remark that my mom could make anything from any national cuisine, and based on my childhood diet, I believe it.
This episode reminded me of those meals, so thanks for the unintended nostalgia. Especially at the holidays.
I think I have to cook one of my mom's meals this weekend…

  6. I love to watch your videos I have loved Paris since I first visited many years ago the food is fantastic and I follow your guide when I visit, unfortunately my doctor told me I had high cholesterol so my visits to the lovely restaurants have to be curtailed 😢.

  7. You two are the BEST of 2023! Thank you for sharing your enjoyable escapades in Paris with all of us. I agree with another viewer that ALL of the dishes served looked and sounded delicious. So it must have been difficult to choose. I wish you and your family a joyful Christmas 🎄 and a Happy New Year in 2024 😘

  10. I will be visiting with my brother late April. I'm aware some restaurants allow small dogs in a tote in restaurants, but I try to eat outside out of respect. Which restaurant would you recommend on this list for outdoor dining?

  11. I'm glad to see Antoine wear his napkin like a bibb. I do it here in the states and my family makes fun of me. It's not my fault my shirts also want to taste what I'm eating!
