Walking in Iceland

Video from: Iceland, Europe.
Video resolution: HD.
Video type: walking tour of the city and country.

Iceland – “land of ice” or “ice country” – is an island country located in the west of Northern Europe in the North Atlantic Ocean (northwest of Great Britain). The territory of the state consists of the island of the same name with an area of 103 thousand km² and small islets near it. It is the most sparsely populated country in Europe.
The capital and largest city of Iceland is Reykjavík, which is home to more than 65% of the country’s population. Iceland is the only part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge that rises above sea level, and its central volcanic plateau erupts regularly. The interior is a plateau of sand and lava fields, mountains and glaciers, and many glacial streams flow to the sea across the lowlands. Iceland is warmed by the Gulf Stream and has a temperate climate despite its high latitude above the Arctic Circle. Due to its high latitude and location in the middle of the ocean, summers are cool and most islands have a polar climate.
Today we’re going to walk around Iceland and see it through my eyes.
Have a nice walk.
