Like anywhere we go south we’re not going to be able to make it none of the trains are running those that are are just completely booked the buses there’s they’re getting cancelled their flights are just astronomically expensive and there’s no cars to rent so we really

Don’t have any choice but to go north so I think we’re going to try to go to nurg today nurg was supposed to be later in our trip so we’re going to end up spending a few extra days there we have a train at like 10:00 a.m. we’re going

To go downstairs and try to get some breakfast before we go and then we’re going to attempt to leave this city hopefully we can actually get out this time now we have no plans we don’t know what we’re going to do when we get there we need to book a place to stay

We’ll figure it out but yeah it’s interesting Google Maps will take you through buildings it’ll take you down sketchy Alleyways it will take you probably through people’s houses pigon so just be aware of that leave it to Kayla to take us down a sketchy Avenue all right so we made it to nurg um we had that a long train ride it was delayed for just a little bit but we finally made it we had some lunch at a little pizza place was pretty good they made some unique pizzas that were supposedly made from dos that were

Processed for an extra period of time at least that’s kind of what I understood from like the German menu I think it took like 72 hours to process the dough so supposedly easier to supposedly easier to digest um but now we’re just kind of wandering around the the main

Street of nurg and uh just looking at the stores and we’ll probably be starting to get cold we’ll probably be out later to grab some stuff from the Christmas Market so we’re headed home we headed back to the hotel for a little bit um our room going be ready and it’s cold so we’re going to bundle up a little bit and we’ll come back out later tonight night for some night stuff and I think

We’re going to go to dinner at the place behind us called the monkey it’s like a Ramen place so it’s right next to the hotel be really good what’ you get Kayla just hot chocolate hot chocolate Chad they said they took card but they didn’t cuz their

Thing’s broken so we had to go to the ATM and get cash while I waited there with the hot chocolate uh we made it to our room this place is very Millennial style for sure we got it’s like an apartment hotel which means that it’s like apartment style rooms

Basically so we have like a whole area for our luggage back here they even have a yoga mat that you can do yoga in the morning table they give you a big bottle of water we have two cookies they’re we found out they’re gingerbread cookies definitely a very different type of

Gingerbread than we’re used to coffee tea anything you want big bed very nice very nice bathroom I would say one of my favorite things about Europe is their obsession with towel warmers it’s actually really hot I just turned it on I love the obsession with towel warmers so yes this

Place also has free laundry 24/7 they try to be kind of green by not putting the little mini fridges in here and they but they do have like drinks and stuff that you can get down reception they’re really right in the middle of everything I mean you can just

Walk out and just walk to the Christmas Market easy enough um tons of restaurants tons of shops it’s a great place to stay if you’re coming to nurg so pretty happy with this place and we booked it this morning it’s definitely not the cheapest place but to be honest

I don’t think I can really complain too much because I literally booked it about 2 hours before and I needed a place that had two rooms so uh I really can’t complain too much about the price but I think it’s really nice and they have a lot of amenities and they were very

Helpful at the front desk they even gave me a map with like a bunch of recommended places um they also gave me some like good money saving tips too about like you know where you should go in or where you shouldn’t go in or where you should waste your time um or where

You shouldn’t waste your time to say that a little bit more accurately so um very helpful people and I’m I’m really happy that I actually ended up book here and I know why they got such a high score on booking.com so definitely makes sense all right so Kayla just learned something that needs

To be shared with the Vlog nurg one of the things they’re known for is their gingerbread it’s a it’s famous for its traditional gingerbread known as nerb Le lebin luchin says these delicious cookies are made with honey nuts and various spices that are often enjoyed during Christmas season and are popular

Souvenir for visitors do you want to grab the cookie from the table over there the uneaten one I already had one so our hotel that we’re staying in gave us these cookies and we were like they’re supposedly gingerbread but they definitely like don’t taste like a traditional gingerbread cookie they have

Like a chocolate covering this one yeah has a chocolate covering and then it has um some kind of like it’s like a wax paper feeling thing but it’s like an edible but it’s edible yeah yeah it’s definitely edible it’s when I first been into it I I will say

Like I don’t know I did not like it right away but it definitely grew on me you know even on the back it says nurg Elis and gingerbread so it it grows on you I feel like you have to take more than one bite to get used to it but the coochin

Think we’ve ever really given a full story about how much trouble we’ve had traveling around in Germany um you know we had some plans to go to Munich and our original flight was supposed to be in Munich and we were supposed to go to Zurich and that was can cancelled and

Then inbrook and that was canceled so I just want to share this story from Lanza and like so you can kind of see and it’s like you know they like this is from yesterday’s story but as you can see like as you like scroll through this there’s another flight disruption update

And it’s like after snow and freezing rain only very limited traffic is possible at Munich so you know of course you know check Lanza but this is just like one example of like all of the troubles that we’ve had traveling in Germany especially the south of Germany which you would think

Would be kind of backwards I mean I guess to be honest like in the US like as the further north you go like the worse the weather gets the colder it gets especially in December but in Germany it seems like the South closer that you get to those Alps the worse and

Worse the weather gets and the less and less prepared they are to deal with that weather which is kind of odd but um I’ll try to give like a full accounting after we go out Tonight so this Christmas Market is a totally different vibe than St Vibe like just Parts it that are the same this this there’s definitely parts that are like very similar but there’s also Parts where there’s definitely more of like a party Vibe so for sure is is definitely kicking off somewhere Tonight it was cool so now we’re going back to check on our laundry this is how you know your travel when you use the towel heater to dry your clothes because the dryer didn’t fully dry them I mean to be honest I think we were just being a little bit more yeah

It was more impatient than anything well it’s late at night and I didn’t want to take out the dryer from the other people that were doing laundry so I was trying to be nice right I think we were trying to be more polite than anything this

After getting stuck in Stuttgart for another day and unfortunately all of the trains heading south to Munich, Zurich, and Innsbrook were canceled….
