I had made my way to Cat Ba Island so I could take a cruise around the waters of both Ha Long Bay and Lan Ha Bay. This is the number one tourist destination in Vietnam and it’s easy to see why.

First, we explored the floating villages (some of which are the oldest settlements in Vietnam) and the thousands of limestone karsts. We then went kayaking through caves into areas that are inaccessible to the boats.

The scariest part of the day came right at the end where we visited a fish farm. How I walked around the farm without falling in is anyone’s guess!
