We made it out of Russia and are now landing on Japan. Craziest thing, still can’t believe you can get there just like that all the way from Europe. The most northern island out of the four primary islands is Hokkaido. This is a riders paradise and many Japanese, who are absolutely nuts about motorcycles btw, come here on their first big motorcycle trip. It’s like a pilgrimage and here you even honk hello at scooters. For the first few days feel a bit lost after having completed my main riding mission but I’m starting to get into the touring now on the twisty Japanese roads. After Sapporo I ride to Hakodate where I take the ferry to Honchu, the main island.
Enjoy this short motorcycle travel documentary in Japan put together with the video footage that I recorded back in 2014. When I wasn’t recording for youtube yet on a potato.

My name is Pedro Mota and back in 2014 I left the Netherlands on a Honda Transalp dual sport motorbike on a trip to Vladivostok on the eastern end of Russia. On the way there we took a big detour through the Middle East, Central Asia and Mongolia. Little did I know back then that this would evolve into a years long motorbike travel further taking me through Japan, Australia, New Zealand and the American continent.
