The sailing family crew of Sailing Catamaran Element, living aboard a Catana 471 Catamaran while preparing to sail out of the Eastern Mediterranean Sea, take a last minute tour to “Walk Like Egyptians” in nearby Egypt. During their stop in Cairo, they explore the antiquities of the Egyptian Museum, subject themselves to the sales tactics in a spice stall and artisan jewelry workshop of the Khan al Khalili Market and take a guided tour of the ancient settlement of Memphis before riding camels on the Giza Plateau to the foot of the Great Pyramids.The Element crew then take a bumpy overnight train to Luxor, where they learn the cultural relationship between the East and West banks of the River Nile to the various temples and funerary structures.
