The Journey to Mount Kinabalu

this is the start of the hype this is I’m speechless well after my attempt to submit m r Journey 2 years ago I didn’t really thought I will do another longdistance hike until recently that Columbia sportsware reach out to me and asked me hey do you want to make a video about us hiking [Music] by in the hiking Community there is this saying the Holy Trinity of East Asia the Fuji mountain in Japan Jake mountain in Taiwan and this one the one we’re going to hike [Music] [Music] currently we are at Mount Kinabalu Park and we are going to hike the Malaysia tallas Mountain Columbia uh planned this for a while with our one and only Melinda first time in my life we have track with my daughter to Everest Base Camp that’s my first time last year in September and now you here yes I am here s LS that’s one definitely cow waterer um other than that I think I’m pretty okay with it [Music] [Music] right now it’s 6:30 in the morning right now right here is the HQ we call it which where we spend our night before the hike and then we will transfer to the trail head where we will take our pass pass is very important it’s like your ID up there if you don’t have the pass you will not get your lunch you will not get your entry so keep the pass so today goal is to reach panal laan which is the almost halfway to the summit and there we will have um our dinner there and wash up to prepare for the summit attch about 2 a.m. in the morning yeah this is our breakfast look at that it’s so good that I forgot to roll the camera before I eat so that’s Mount K right there we’re going to submit tomorrow so I got to send this this P back to the pter the pter will send this to the base camp we just carry whatever we need how much is the pter 14 per 14 ring per kg 14 ring per kg but minimum is 10 kg means uh minimum is 14 ring so it’s today is going to be about 6 km hike uh until the panala base came so we take about maybe 4 to 6 hours average so we’ll be going so and steady for today okay we passed the first ch register our name and it got real real fast this is the start of the [Music] hike it’s around 1.5 K so here is Wilson our guide how how long have you been a guide 10 years more than 10 years more and how much how many time you submit per day per week okay 10 times a month 10 times a month so you did for 10 years let’s do the maths guy 120 that’s 1,200 something somebody help actually both black so once I relax I Tred to to stretch myself canot stretch relax it don’t stretch it left leg my bur I think just lost my leg ladies and gentlemen we have reached panal laan base camp we did it look at that the crazy part is it’s like no matter how high you try you never fit the whole mountain in your Fu [Music] view con congratulations team kabalo we are halfway there [Music] so we’re at kilom 8 m Kinabalu so we have another 1 km to The Summit [Music] [Music] [Music] ladies and gentlemen we are here at the pig 4,095 [Music] [Music] all right yeah where are we now so we’re at on M Kinabalu okay uh right off the summit so we’re going down so as you can see Over the Horizon that’s the second tallest mountain in Malaysia and also the third and the uh s andar wow and uh the one this is called L Pig right yeah this is l p and is that a name for all this St joh uh St John’s P South P or you can call it uh pun or pun ofos ah okay and then this one is uh o that’s one is Alexandra Alexandra Pig oh [Music] [Music]
