This platz (square) is smaller than the Munsterplatz, but it is on the way to the Munster from the train station. It is a great place to relax, people watch, and enjoy a beverage or ice cream. Frieburg is known more as a college town than as a tourist town. While that is starting to change, the city still isn’t flooded with tourists. If you are touring multiple places in south western Germany, eastern France, or northern Switzerland, Freiburg makes an amazing top spot to be able to chill out and relax in a less touristy city.
