I left the United States for the Swiss Alps | Tour1

14 day motorcycle adventure through the Swiss Alps. Browse Tour1’s motorcycle tours here: https://bit.ly/484H2P2

Embark on a journey that begins with a whisper of adventure at the Channel Tunnel terminal near Folkestone England. Here, the thrill of the ride sets in as we board the Channel Tunnel Train, soon after we cross into the heart of France. The open road beckons, and we heed its call, zipping through quaint villages and past fields that once bore witness to history’s greatest battles.

As we push further into the French countryside, our wheels trace the paths of the Western Front. The air buzzes with the echoes of tales untold, while the road ahead promises the charm of rural France, the landscape painted in strokes of green and gold. Our journey takes us through the serene Somme Valley, where the tranquility is as deep as the history that lingers in the air.
We wet our whistles with the Vosges Mountains, where the real magic begins. Here, the roads are a rider’s dream – sweeping bends and thrilling hairpins, each curve a testament to the beauty of the journey.

Crossing the border into Germany, the Black Forest unfurls before us, the beautiful wood is a playground for our two-wheeled steeds. The roads twist and turn, each bend a dance with the forest’s shadows, each mile a promise of discovery.

Our adventure reaches new heights in Switzerland, where the Grimsel, Susten, and Furka passes await. These alpine roads are more than just pathways; they are the veins of the mountains, pulsating with the lifeblood of adventure. The Grimsel Pass lifts us to dizzying heights, offering vistas that steal the breath and inspire the soul. The Susten Pass, with its glaciers and towering peaks, is a symphony of sights, while the Furka Pass, famed for its cinematic allure, promises views that linger long after the ride is over.

In this enchanting journey, every mile is a memory, every turn a thrill. Join us as we ride the roads less traveled, where the magic of the open road awaits at every horizon.

    2. Absolutely brilliant film !!
Can hear your excitement as you roll round the alps ❀
      They’re stunning eh …
      Throughly enjoyed this !!!
      Best wishes

    3. Hi to both of you from Austria! Congrats to your decision to do that trip and to build memories that last forever. We did an roadtrip which included 9 (out of 10) of the highest and challenging mountain passes in the alps 3 weeks ago. To watch your videos brings memories alive and some goosebumps πŸ˜‰ The riding in the alps is not comparable to what your are used to, but form time to time we have to get out of our comfort zone to get further in life. In 2025 we will visit the US for a 3 weeks roadtrip – so see you on the road

    4. I'm so glad you both got to experience the majesty of such an amazing place. Ride safe queen! Much Love to you! πŸ’–β˜―οΈπŸ”₯πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ¦‰βš”πŸ πŸ›΅

    5. Thanks for sharing this experience. I have ridden in most of those places over the years, and now I live in the French Alps I get to ride these roads very ride I take. Seeing it through your American eyes was interesting. I understand why you took an organised tour, but don’t be afraid to make your own way next time. You seem a little insulated from things. And as for that bike, that is not a nimble bike! I would recommend looking for a lighter option next time as your curiosity will take you down some much smaller, tighter roads than these. There is so much to explore. Looking forward to episode 2.

    6. Love that you enjoyed it. I ride the french alps a fair bit, sometimes Switzerland and Italy!
These types of roads are everywhere! And the Alps are not the only beautiful places in Europe!
Tight hairpins are a technique, normal to struggle the first time. Takes turning you're head at the right time and arriving at the proper pace. The entry will determine your exit.
28:42 exactly the type of rider I hate riding the Alps…they end up on the other lane exiting the corner too! (sorry for the negative comment)

    7. Loved the video, but when you were talking about your long legs I said to myself….oh I would kill to have longer legs. When you are a male with a 27 1/2" inseam is no fun. I wonder if this tour company has bikes that I could ride. 😒

    8. I noticed there were times you couldn’t see the bike ahead of you. Do they give you the route and let you go your own pace? This is definitely now on my bucket list!
