    Welcome to Turkey (Türkiye) and for the next 11 Days I’m taking you on an ultimate Turkish street food tour all the way from Istanbul to Gaziantep. We’ll eat some of the most famous, unique, and interesting foods in Turkey!

    Our journey begins in Istanbul where we’ll discover some of the most classic Turkish street foods that local people eat. We’ll then travel to Izmir on the Aegean coast for seafood and some unique culinary specialties. From Izmir we’ll continue to Gaziantep, known to be the food capital of Turkey, where we’ll try eggplant kebab, and one of the world’s best baklava. From Gaziantep we’ll go to Adana to try the most famous kebab in Turkey! And finally to wrap up this tour we’ll return to Istanbul for more delicious Turkish food.

    This Turkey food documentary not only includes all 38 meals I ate during our trip, but also a lot of behind the scenes and extras scenes from our trip.

      Uğur Bey, ülkemizin lezzetlerine rehberlik etme konusunda en iyisi sizsiniz.. Mekan seçimleriniz değil sadece. Eşlik ettiğiniz kişilere hem klas, hem de sıcakkanlı yaklaşımınız mükemmel. Acizane tek bir konuda tavsiyede bulunabilir miyim? Mark beğendiği bir yemeği ilk tadım anında kendinden geçiyormuşçasına çok güzel yansıtıyor (Mark'ın klasiğidir; Yer, gözünü kapatır, gülümseyerek başını sola doğru yatırır.:) Tam o esnada siz o yemeği ilk defa yemediğiniz için belki de çok tepkisiz görünüyorsunuz. Bence o sırada misafirin verdiği tepkiye odaklansanız daha iyi olur gibime geliyor. Tespitimde yanılıyor da olabilirim. Lütfen kusura bakmayın.. Bence ülkemizin en iyi lezzet rehberi sizsiniz..       I doubt he will, but I’d be interested if he posted a video about the logistics of his travels. He goes to some dicey areas of the world with camera equipment & probably laptop a 💻 to edit footage while there. He also often has his wife & child with him. Has he ever been robbed? Assaulted? Ever gotten food poisoning? I really enjoy these videos & have almost licked my TV watching some of the amazing dishes he eats. That being said, he always seems like he’s having the time of his life. And we all know life never goes THAT perfectly. Just curious. Keep up the great work, Mark! 👊🏻🤙🏻

      Love the extra long videos. I have used your longer videos as a podcast on longer road trips over the years. They really seem to shorten the drive. Thank you for sharing places I will never be able to go to myself.

      Guys try Sumak Restaurant in Miami Beach, you will find most of these dishes in their menu and its as authentic as it gets. Soooo goood. Thank you Mark, great video

      Tea only came to Turkiye after 1930s. Ataturk, trying to make the country self sufficient as much as possible, tried to find a substitute for coffee, which was exported from other countries. After searching for a region with suitable climate, they found out that eastern Karadeniz region was the best for tea production because of its rainy climate. He was able to convert Turkiye a 400-500 years coffee addicted country to tea. Even breakfast in Turkish "kahvaltı" (kahve altı) means food before coffee.
