    1. The lawyers who proposed that Disney+ defense should be disbarred, never to practice law again. This is just disgusting, but in perfect alignment with the company's current culture and leadership.

    2. All the modern president animatronics in the Hall of Presidents are horrific nightmare fuel! They look nothing like any of them. I can't imagine Walt getting the same treatment. I'm okay with them making the animatronic, but I don't think the current sculptors can pull it off.

    3. Tom – Just so you know from an insider – New Polynesian Tower won"t open until end of January 2025 or early February 2025. Just saying they're behind.

    4. Odd way to try and settle a wrongful death. The corporate arm of Disney is really beginning to show how greedy it has become. Between price increases outpacing inflation (which wouldn’t exist if they would just back off), seasonal pass prices, paid line shortening (news flash, no one is skipping the line) options, parks that are in a constant state of disrepair and/or construction…it’s a wonder that they haven’t folded yet.

Don’t get me wrong, I love the theme parks in Florida…I just can’t afford them anymore. At least, not for what they are giving me. There is no reason to raise prices at busier times of the year, you’re already making money hand over fist. There is no reason to charge (when they hadn’t in the past) to have a line shortening option. There is no reason to have long lines at attractions (even at peak park capacity). These are all signs that management has no clue.

Here’s why I say that, first at the busiest times of the year (summer months and holidays), there will be more people coming to the parks…instant extra money. Secondly, the price of admission should be my final price for attractions. It’s not the consumer’s fault that they don’t know how to efficiently load, unload, and plan for ride failures. This wasn’t a problem prior to the introduction of FastPass. Thirdly, those lines are not a sign of success, it’s a sign of failure. Customers do not want to spend the better part of their day waiting. It seems to me that, in the past, crowd control was easier because there were more attractions away from the attractions. There were stage shows and activities that weren’t in the ride queue areas, not to mention the shopping was better.

Nearly everything that not only I, but my children too, remember about trips to these iconic parks is gone.

The “magic” is gone and it’s not because I grew up. There were 17 years between my first trip and my second trip. I was a child for the first and an adult for the second. The feelings I had on rides that I rode back 1974 were the same in 1991. My children do not get to experience this even though they are adults themselves now. The “magic” that was once there had been replaced by shortsightedness and greed.

This was what caused the downfall in the 1980s for Disney, even though they opened a new theme park. It wasn’t until Michael Eisner returned them to a bright spot that the theme parks became world renowned again. When Bob Iger took over, it went downhill rather fast.

I’m not done with Disney, they can always win me back. I still stay at my DVC timeshare yearly. I just can’t visit the theme parks until they bring back the “magic”.

    5. I really don’t understand how it could be disrespectful. Walt Disney made animatronics of all his heroes so isn’t it natural that we make one of him because he’s our hero

    6. As a former castmember who worked at One Man's Dream, I have the utmost respect and admiration for Walt Disney and I'm anxious to see this new animatronic and the attraction itself. However, I completely respect the feelings of Walt Disney's family and those who worked with him. Tom, I hope you are right and that they are going to treat this new project with the sensitivity, respect, and reverence it deserves. I guess only time will tell.

    7. Good job Tom. Walt’s project is done out of love. I agree. I first fell for Walt when I saw him on TV. I still experience that love every time I visit a Disney property; I hope that does not change.

    8. I wish you would not defend Disney here in any way, it is disgraceful that any court would entertain this nonsense that if you subscribe to Disney + You give up all your rights to negligence, shame on you Tom!

    9. I wrote to Disney a couple times over the past several years saying they needed a Walt Disney animatronic. Who else should they create an animatronic of other than the Dreamer himself? To hear and see Walt speak "in person" will bring many to tears, including myself. I have waited years for this, so "Thank you, Disney, for listening to the fans of the man who started it all with his mouse"!

    10. Law in this world needs to be re-examined. I sign up for a streaming service. I stream for the amount of devices I pay for. The payee gets their money. The end. Blockchain and bitcoin can help with this and so many ither problems. Verify devices and accounts being used and dont include B.S. assumed boiler plate that is deceptively not. Common sense and ordinary language needed. Sucks about the woman if their story is true. Disney is supposed to be a safe and reasonably accommodating place for good family fun. Hopefully we as a community can set a better example for those around us on property and be a shining light for the world beyond property.

    11. Nah, the animatronic Walt is in bad taste, especially if it’s against the family’s wishes. There is plenty of archival footage of him, film, media and audio that they can show the real man, the way he was. Making him a animatronic only further removes his humanity. 👎👎👎

    12. I am all for the Walt Disney animatronic. I feel like it does open up the ability for more people to know him. I also think that Walt would like it. Think about him seeing the Lincoln animatronic and how he loved it. I think he would be honored to see an animatronic of himself.

    13. Hmmm why is Tom Looking so awkward when talking about this death, I hope that he is not compromised by what he wants so say. Would your reply be the same if it was someone you know? Something really doesn't feel right that he rants about the bear's and not the Rivers of America.

    14. It now seems to me that Disney is free and clear on the wrongful death issue. Not bacause of the Disney + "You waive your right to sue us.." clause. The circumstances of her death happened inside another company's building. If you walk outside that building and a Disney lamp post falls on your head, Disney still can't be sued….because you subscribe to Disney +. Either way,…Disney cant be sued. Hey…YOU signed your Disney + subscription. It's not Disney's fault that you didn't read it.

    15. DISNEY IS NOT EVIL. LEAVE DISNEY ALONE!!!! YOU COWARDS!!! THEYRE DOING WELL AS YOU PREFER NOSTALGIA CRITC WHO SUPPORTS CONSTANTIN FILMS TARZAN!!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!! Xxxx

    16. DISNEY IS NOT EVIL. LEAVE DISNEY ALONE!!!! YOU COWARDS!!! THEYRE DOING WELL AS YOU PREFER NOSTALGIA CRITC WHO SUPPORTS CONSTANTIN FILMS TARZAN!!!! LEAVE THEM ALONE!!!! Xxxx

    17. Why do you keep liking comments confirming that the restaurant is 3rd party, but ignore all the comments talking about the Disney+ subscription issue?

    18. I think having an attraction on just Walt Disney speaking, I’m all for it. I respected when they brought in one great president (Lincoln), they should be able to do this with one great man (Walt). I think if they make it like something similar to the show in Epcot colonial area (that is one great show), this will be great! I love historic point of view which Walt always wanted to bring to everyone, this is another piece of history that should be shared in this type of format. This is one great project.

    19. Agree with the family being against Walt – i think it is indicative that they are afraid that Walt WOULD NOT like the direction some parts of the company have gone. If there was an audio animatronic they can put words in his mouth. So, i disagree with Tom saying that they would NOT create new audio using existing sound to have him say things that he NEVER would have.
