Want to donate to the channel? You can buy me a shawarma! 😂 I recently discovered this website “buy me a coffee” exists and created an account, because, well, why not? I really just appreciate your support by watching my videos and I’m not asking you to donate, but, if you feel like it, now there’s a place you can. Donations will probably just go to me making more street food videos. Here’s the link: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/gventures

I always use Talabat app for food delivery in Cairo. I know there are many similar services. Which ones are the best or recommended by your experience?
Those men are pretty good looking 👀
Another great video, thank you! You're a trooper. Battling the annoyance. LOL. Brave woman. The rice pudding is delicious, I agree and you are so very right, Um Ali is not close to being good if it's not hot. More power to you pioneer.

Can't wait to try Egyptian desserts!! All I'm used to are ice cream, donuts, etc (typical american desserts)….from seeing various youtube videos, Egypt has so much other types of desserts that look so delicious!
Your home must be in Nasr City, Sheikh Zayed, or Zamalek City

منوره مصر كله
يارت تروحي الدقي❤🤞
They have a famous dish they call "Koshari" which is a mixture/cocktail of many sweets (konafa, basboosa…) (this is what the word "koshari" actually means)
Be laban is challenging us to finish their dishes in one round but nobody win 😢
I hope you go to the countryside in agreement with a well-known person and photograph the rural food. I'm sure that you will like some of it, such as fatteh, rice meammer, and many other dishes that I don't remember 😅, and also try to live the entire experience.❤
I like how realistic your videos are. They show everything one should expect when visiting Egypt. Thank you!
Can’t wait to see Cairo this September 😁 Hope to see you riding your bike during my visit😅😂
The Om Ali comes hot in a little terracotta pot, go back and try some when the weather gets cooler😊
Those guys were really annoying, but that guy in the green shirt was hot ngl 😂. Maybe I'm just man deprived, but I would have let him have his way with me. 🥵 Also, the guy in the blue hat at the pudding shop register deserves an honorable mention lol. I'd be lying if I said the men don't draw me to Egypt!
ربما نتقابل صدفة يومآ ما داخل القاهرة
لن تعرفيني…لكني سأعرفك
I have watched your videos and was fascinated that you chose to live there and I’m kind of going through a transition of wanting to leave UK and live in Egypt I was in Cairo last year and seriously there is nothing like Egypt and I felt at peace but I wanted to ask how are you able to live there and work there permanently? I’d really appreciate if someone could help or guide me in the right direction
Come to Egypt! 👍🏻😉
i remember this place i was there last month, near 26th of July st.
Just know that you have an egyptian-canadian fan here and that I admire your work because your channel revives my memories by taking me back to Cairo and to "West El Balad" ♥♥♥♥♥
So nice🎉
The “rice pudding” dish has a long history. It is said that it first appeared during the Umayyad dynasty. The governor, Yazid bin Al-Muhallab bin Abi Sufra, asked the servants to make a special dessert for him, so they made “rice with milk” and called it “Muhallabia.”
According to the book “Matali’ al-Budur fi Manazel al-Surur 1-2 Part 2” by Alaa al-Din Ali bin Abdullah al-Baha’i al-Ghazouli, Muhammad bin Khard said: Many Iraqi tribal and clan leaders used to serve rice with milk and sifted sugar at the beginning of their meals. They preferred this dish over others, believing it to be beneficial.
Al-Hasan bin Sahl preferred it due to Al-Ma’mun’s opinion of it, who said it increased lifespan. Al-Ma’mun asked where this belief came from, and he replied: Because doctors claimed that rice generates correct dreams. If the dreams are correct, then sleep increases over wakefulness because sleep is death and wakefulness is life.
While the dish “rice with milk” in its current recipe first appeared in Turkey in the 15th century AD, during the Ottoman Empire, Turkish doctors used to prescribe it as a treatment for stomach problems. “Rice pudding” then moved to Egypt around the same period, but Egyptians did not use it as medicine like the Turks. Instead, Egyptians cooked it as a kind of dessert.
In Europe, “rice with milk” was initially made as a main meal and not as a dessert during the 14th century. However, in the 15th century, sugar was added to it to resemble the “rice with milk” that is currently famous in the Arab world.

When you said the pyramids were in Cairo you were technically correct since the governorates of Cairo, Giza and Qaliobia are collectively called greater Cairo. That mango rice pudding looked super delicious; makes me yearn for home (an Egyptian who has been living in Canada for 30 years here). Keep up the great work; thoroughly enjoy your videos. Oh, and sorry on behalf of those nosy clowns loitering around when you were making the video; it got on my nerves just watching it so I'm sure it was much more irritating for you to experience.
B-laban has a huge variety of desserts, much more then roz belaban ,and they even have their own unique creations that we Egyptians are still discovering, like 'El Qashtota,' 'Bambooza,' ,Lahalebo Yah Yah and sweet koshary 😃
You can check out their experiences on YouTube to learn more about their products, then try them.
By the way ..
I can't believe you got your order so quickly! 😶
B-laban is usually super crowded. It seems like you were really lucky! 😅
