Anyone who comes to Berlin Mahlsdorf these days will notice that the district still has the charm of a residential area. There are mainly single- and two-family houses here. Every now and then you can also find old villas and beautiful, old country houses. 🏡 Perfect conditions for a nice autumn Berlin walk!

Mahlsdorf is a district in the Marzahn-Hellersdorf district of Berlin. It is a lesser-known Berlin district and together with Biesdorf and Kaulsdorf it is Germany’s largest contiguous area with single- and multi-family houses.

Although some parts of Mahlsdorf are still in need of renovation, there is no trace of the old, somewhat run-down eastern charm. On the contrary: Mahlsdorf has been really spruced up in many places. Many residential buildings, villas and country houses have been renovated and given a new coat of paint. In addition, the residents seem to be holding an unofficial competition for the most beautiful front garden. Colorful flowers bloom as far as the eye can see, whether in beds or pots. Tall trees provide shade for residents in the summer. It’s bearable here! 🌳 🌿

I really enjoyed my little walking tour in Mahlsdorf! As someone who was born and raised in a village, I really felt at home in Mahlsdorf from the very beginning! Enjoy this walk in one of the most beautiful districts of Berlin – definitely an insider tip for discovering the city of Berlin!
