Looks great, but many things can happen. A few years ago, two people that were very close to me, my good friend and brother, decided to move to SE Asia. My friend was like you, hoping around countries enjoying life, saving money. He was very healthy like you and in his early 50s. He thought he had beat the system by living this nomadic life overseas. My brother was quite wealthy and simply wanted to live in SE Asia to get away from the hassles in America. He wanted more "freedom." He was living quite well in Bangkok. Unfortunately, my friend had a heart attack while in Thailand and could not be saved. Not long after, my brother was involved in a bad road accident that put him in the ER and ICU in a very highly regarded Bangkok hospital.
Even with all of his money he could not be saved because this hospital (which is thought of as one of the best in Asia) just didn't have medical personnel that were capable enough to see him through. Both were sent back to the USA for autopsies and it was determined that they could have been saved if they were in better hands. My friend's cause of death was not from the heart attack but from malpractice. My brother passed due to inadequate training of medical staff. None of this was ever disclosed to me because there is no such thing as malpractice in these countries.
I wonder how many people are dying due to the same reason. We have a system in place in America to help reduce this. It's called malpractice lawsuits. It puts pressure on medical staff to always be diligent and always be armed with the latest equipment and continuing education.
This is a lesson for you and everyone else to never overlook something like this. America has it's share of problems. And medical care costs are ridiculous no doubt. But you cannot put a price on human life. If a life threatening situation arises, I want to be in the best care possible. Please be careful and stay safe.
Love ure videos new sub. Im 42 single no kids never married. Im saving my $ up for 2 years so i can move to Thailand are the Philippines. America is too high and stressful you cant and want get ahead.
Be careful with the alcoholic drinks, lots of poisoning in areas outside of Thailand mostly but it has happened in Thailand.
Chris…as someone who has worked in finance and investments for about 30 years, 16 of which were working for one of the largest public pension funds in the U.S., and in the investment research and planning departments, I would advise some caution on your dividend stock investment program. If you are getting about 6% on a $400,000 portfolio, $24,000 a year is spot on. However, when this market has a fifty percent correction, in order for you to get that same $24,000 a year, your dividend yield would have to increase to 12%. That is highly unlikely as I am sure you are aware. Another problem is a massive devaluation of the dollar, which is also likely in store. I've been expatting in Malaysia (Penang Island) for several months now, and I am constantly keeping an eye on the exchange rate. I reckon that you're doing the same thing. Hedging with some market put options might be something to consider at this point, depending on how expensive the are.
I appreciate your channel. I'm a 62 year old female in Vermont. Enjoy your food & wellness videos. Will you go to Bali?
Enjoy lives good but not in The west anymore
Okay I have watched a few of your videos, where are the ladies, looks to me like you have a lonely lifestyle.
All the Social Security money went to fund illegals and those which didn't want to work. They allowed everyone to game the system and steal Social Security from those that worked all their lives. This is the result…
Congrats on thriving on your dividend investments in your early retirement. I retired early back in 2019, and haven't looked back yet. Salute!
I'm in Dodge and overworked.. raising retirement age to 69 ..What, Wow? My body is also heading down like yours was in the US over-workplace. What Dividend Stocks do you advise to make $40,000 year tax free?
I love your positivity! Keep up the great work; I always look forward to your videos.
Can’t believe how many Americans are not prepared for retirement at 65… 😬 If we all invested in dividend stocks like this, we could retire earlier, right?
Great video! Just subscribed.
Can you name some dividend stocks worth looking into?
Happy Thanksgiving!
Yes, I'm doing the same mate. Happy Thanksgiving 😀Watching from sunny Palm Springs. Will be back SE Asian January!
I think Aussies are in a better position regarding retirement than the Americans
SOLID !!!
Great video I especially love the end with the mad ninja attack cat 🐈⬛ 😂
I can struggle on SS in the US or live in Thailand.
Hi Chris, please be careful of those vicious animals we need you to be safe and well so you can bring us more great videos😊

You have a Good heart smart too
…and you Crack me up 😅 too . Good on you from Australia 🇦🇺 😊
We would love to retire in Asia but we are already 72 and getting older. We have all our Canadian pensions so we can afford plus we own a house but we are kind of scared to make that move.
I loved your video…. I’m 52 and need to retire for the same reasons you said… I think I have 2-3 years max left…… I’ve been trying to study the dividends approach but not feeling confident. …. I went to to Krabi twice last year In Aonang, and can not wait to retire there…… help me out sir🙏🏻🇹🇭🙏🏻
Do you worry about food poisoning? And can you drink unbottled water
Foot massages are the best. When the use exfoliation on your feet and ancles is amazing.
Aloha my friend, another sunny and beautiful day in Hua Hin. Blue skies and ocean, now that is one relaxing location for retirement. You are spot on the USA retirement situation. Social Security is the great government Ponzi Scheme. I enjoy your adventures to spot mom and pops restaurants and the pork and duck looks so yuummy. Another very informative and educational video. And great recommendation for massages.Maybe your best recommendation for massages in Hau Hin or Bangkok. Mahalo
Do you also invest in high yield dividend ETFs like SCHD or VYM?
How much of a portfolio would you need. 300k 400k or 500k or more for a dividend stock portfolio to generate 2k per month?
Do you not lose your American residency status while living abroad? If you do, then are you subject to tax?
Social security was originally OASDI, when created, people were not expecting to receive benefits, died before collecting SS, i can't argue that it's a ponzi scheme. I certainly appreciate your videos!
Just ran across your videos. Very interesting. Im in a similar situation to you. How is the dating in thailand for guys our age? I dont drink and am not interested in bar girls. Kind of rules out a lot of dating in the west.
