Next video: Last Days in Madrid (Season Finale) COMING SOON
As our campervan roadtrip in Spain winds down, we’re visiting Valencia and staying at Area Eco el Saler, a campground about 12km from the city center. Despite the rainy weather, we’re exploring the city’s beautiful churches, enjoying local drinks like Horchata de Chufa, and checking out impressive sights like the Mercat Central and the City of Arts and Sciences designed by Santiago Calatrava. Reflecting on our trip, we appreciate the vibrant culture and architecture as we prepare for our return to Madrid, eager to soak in these final moments of our journey.

    1. Hey Robert, there was a link to this hidden video at the end of your premiere today… just a heads up.

edit: fun fact: the cathedral in Valencia claims to display the actual Holy Chalice, wich is often also believed to be the Holy Grail. The difference: The chalice is believed to be the cup used during the last supper, while the holy grail originates from Arthurian legend, and is said to be used to collect Jesus' blood from the cross. They are often referred to as the same object.

Interestingly, The Cathedral in Valencia does not make this connection. They do not claim to have the Holy Grail, but they do claim to have the Holy Chalice.

    2. It is very sad to see what's happening in Valencia as of the publishing of this video. I even thought about postponing it, but this has been scheduled for many days now. I just hope the video helps illustrate the beauty and rich culture of Valencia.

    3. I think the word you are looking for dialects is regionalisms instead. It is like in the English language someone says trousers in the UK, everyone else says pants or slacks, or how it is spelled like behaviour, centre in the UK. In the US we say behavior, center.

    4. So sad to see the flooding in Valencia. The video was spectacular. I love the plazas and the intricate detail on the buildings. You mentioned the River had been diverted from the area you visited so does that mean that the area that flooded was not the area in the video.

    5. Looks like you had a (very) little foretaste of what was to come in Valencia.
A great series, Toledo, Cordoba and Ronda episodes really captured the essence and history of Spain.

    6. Robert I am sure you are glad that you are not in Spain this month with all of this flooding rain that the country is experencing.
Hope people got out of places so they were O.K.

    7. The Valencia filter on the instagram app was one of my favorites. I thought it might be named after Valencia street in San Francisco. But then I watched Traveling Robert in Valencia, Spain and saw the photogenic rainy weather and glowing sky there.

    8. Thank you for this Spanish series, many places we have not been to. I understand after three weeks touring around you get deflated. In the past we have toured all around US and taken in all places and Cities and like you after three or four weeks you are ready for home🇬🇧🇬🇧👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻🥰

    9. We spent about 15 days total in Barcelona before and after a Mediterranean cruise. So much to see and and we did not get to see all of it. Your trip has inspired us to visit the other parts of Spain. So sad about the flooding. Valencia looks to be another beautiful city.
