Our time in the state of Chihuahua is coming to a close. After a short visit to Batopilas and a dramatic exit from the mountains, we’re now making our way across the central desert to the stunning state of Nuevo Leon. It’s time to explore two of Mexico’s beautiful cities, Saltillo and Monterrey. We weren’t prepared for what was in store for us on the east side of this spectacular country.
Mexico, it’s the land of many colours, delicious food, epic vistas, wonderful and friendly people, and so, so much more. From tiny towns to bustling metropolises, there’ s always so much beauty to be found here. So buckle up and let’s roam!

Another great posting. I am enjoying your trip and seeing new territory, scenery, and local life. Neil from Courtenay, where at 6.00 pm on Sunday it is 2.0c
Love your content, I'm so glad you visited my home place, Monterrey.
Damn you guys make Mexico look GOOD!!
MEGAN, YOU ARE SO PRETTY.
ARE YOU MEXICAN OR NATIVE CANADIAN?
Always stoked to see a new Slow Roamers film in my subscriptions. What an epic adventure you two are having. I love following along. Your film making just keeps getting better. Cheers, Alex and Meg.
Adopten al perro…
Absolutely amazing episode!! Thank you for sharing this unique and beautiful landscape and people … and dogs too! Batapilas looked enchanting, the cave hot springs so cool and the mountains around Monterey stunning! Love following along!
Churros! yummy. Great video, those were some crazy roads. We live on west coast of Mexico, had no idea Tim Horton was in Mexico! Safe travels, how long before you acquire a dog? lol
Once again, another great video👍 Cheers 🍻🥂from the “Whack”🤣😂( next door to Abby, lol)
Another captivating adventure, love it!
Did you see Horse tail falls at the national park? I went there with an agricultural group about 30 years ago. We were in Monterey only about 1 night. And Sausalito for a night. Glad you had more time but you sure kept busy. I enjoy your travels and im looking forward to your continued travels. You are finding somevreally neat sites.
Thanks!
I had no idea that the road East out of Batopilas was so steep with so many switchbacks.
That hot spring in a cave, AMAZING 😅
I am wondering if you are offering water to the dogs that you meet?
You mentioned a year and a half for your trip, looking forward to experiencing your adventures vicariously.
When we drove from Toronto Ontario to Montevideo Uruguay in the early 1970s we arrived for Xmas in just over 3 months so it will be so nice to truly explore the countries, only you are doing it for us.
Nope! I'm sorry! I have no desire to go to a place like that! None, atoll?
Let's get back to BC!
See you, again, when you ger back home!
Until then…….i'm outta here!
See you then!
Bye, bye!
You’re bringing so much marvellous memories from when we did the same route about 25 years in a eurovan.. memories of a lifetime. Thank you so much. ❤🇨🇦
Your best video yet. You’re nailing the essence of Mexico. Maybe the nicest people in the world , and best geography as well. Wish drones were around when we did this 25 years ago
Great content.
New Mexico is known for The Land of Enchantment the slogan not Mexico
Those mountains are incredible!
In the toll where there is a sign "San Pedro" if you turn back by the free road. Just 30 min ahead is thera a place call "Dunas de Bilbao" are sand dunes like in the Sahara. You can camp there
Also you can visit beatiful places like "Las Adjuntas", a nice town call "Santiago" and near Saltillo "Las Alazanas"
I have driven all the way down as far as the South Jalisco area and Puerto Vallarta, wait until you reach Zacatecas, Guanajuato, and Jalisco it is the best area. Make sure you pay a visit to camp in El Ocote, Aguascalientes
I wanted to go Mexico since I saw it on “Where’s my Office Now” channel started WAY back. Are they even still around? Anyway, one day I was talking to someone at work about it and they asked me a question that pretty much killed the idea. He asked “why go there when the ones that live there are trying to get here?” Not knocking anyone for going there, but I have a lot of the US I haven’t seen and Canada is next on my list.
I like Tecate beer.
Great video. I agree with Meg, the tunnel looked scary!
Excelente video ❤
