First.
Enjoy your videos very much.
Sorry to hear that you've been kicked out.
Another great video Mark. It is wonderful to see how much you’ve grown into the boat and marine scene. Keep up the great work and very much hope I my diary synchs with your time in the UK just so I can say hi and shake your hand.
There are some good anchorage’s on the south coast and east coast (Thames and Medway) but they are very much wind / sea direction dependent.
I’m not sure on your draft but have a look around the Isle of Sheppey on the Medway and also reach out to Gravesend Council re mooring buoys off Gravesend Pier. They are cheap and handy for London 😉
👍
Great to see that your in France now Mark great video looking forward to your next episode thanks again Mark.
Whistling on board is a sign of mutiny
Another great video, Mark. That scenery is so stunning. Thank you for showing the process if anchoring, navigating, tender parking etc. it’s all great stuff. Still waiting for your pink hat appearance! 😉
Great work .Loved that old town, loved all the old buildings,Good Luck Gary I would be nervous as hell on my first overnight watch!
Surely Spain was to Port?
The event you showed might well be a last celebration of the good life before fasting for 40 days.. Carnival.
To help with your shocking pronunciation of foreign words why do you not use Babbel ? It has a small cost but it will not only teach you it will help us! 😁
Mark, wow your videography is now on another level. I sold my trawler some 10 years ago she is now living in Falmouth. Your videos really bring back memories and make me understand why I am Pisces 😂. Lots of super transits for your future UK adventures.
Mark a question from the u.k did you get the problem with the autopilot sorted out? I remember you said part of the system had been installed in an area that it shouldn’t have been? But I can’t recall if you had it fixed have I missed it somewhere
Absolutely stunning
Mark, although it no longer matters at this stage of your journey, in Spain you kept saying “Buenos Dios” when it is actually “Buenas Dias”, a bit like in Portugal where they say “Buen Dia” 🤭
Thank you Mark & Gary.
Great stuff.
Nice wave breaking off the breakwater.
Cheers from Durban.
Interested to hear you cruised from Bayonne to La Rochelle at 5kts. Does that reduce your fuel consumption? Was thinking of your forthcoming trans-ocean plans and trying to understand "Awanui NZ's" range. Nordhaven publicises 3k NM at 8kts for the "51" but doesn't specify if that takes into consideration using the gennie (or weather)? Presume you'll need the gennie when making water, and if you use air-con. I note that "Lady Lisalot" cruises on one of her two engines, can you do that? Was also wondering what your watchkeeping regime was during your overnight? Hope that's not intrusive but I am interested. One of my favourite sailing channels is "Sailing Yacht Florence"; those two kids have been voyaging all around the world almost continuously for the last eight years. If you need any trans-ocean sailing advice, I recommend you make your number with them.
Yep… the town folks are dressed up for the traditional Catholic Carnival weekend.
Dear Mark let me give you a tip.
Use Google Translate so you can here how to say a name.
It is quite logic that most ports dont answer becouse they dont recconice what you say or think you talk to someone else 😂😂😂
How do you know when in new places, where your allowed to leave your tender when you go ashore?
were you flying a rainbow warrior flag mark just joking nice area too
Great trip video and a nice little mention of our stomping grounds in the Marlborough Sounds! Safe travels and look forward to bumping into the Awanui in the Pelorus one day.
Wtf is going on in that town…hahaha
It’s Spanish , so I’m pretty sure that it’s pronounced pa- see- as
Funny I always check the weather on ForeFlight when I’m near an airport. Great episode
Hi Mark, what issues do you have with the Garmin/Vesper Cortex VHF system? I've been considering it to replace a Garmin 300i system (3 stations). On the face of it, it looks great, and would reduce 3 or 4 bits of current kit, into 1 much neater install!
I spotted what you did wrong, when those feds told you to leave then you should have put out a Pan call saying you had urgent need of cafe coffee!
It's a bit frustrating not to be prepared to pronounce correctly the names of the places especially in formal communication with the authorities. If I was local I'd feel offended.
Hi mark. Just watching your latest video. Still fantastic content and explanations of local history etc. always good to watch…….. take it easy and enjoy….. very envious right now. 😁😎👍🍺
