I went this summer as a day trip from Tokyo. I should have slept there, it's not a small town. Lots of places to see and walking to do. I went also to see my mates Ozu and Kurosawa.
Ok, this is genuinely beautiful, it really looks like such a nice place to live. From a citizen of a fellow island nation, Britain, the most miserable place you can imagine!

Just mesmerizing how clean everything is, not a speck of garbage on the streets anywhere. This is a culture with high standards and values and self-respect but also high respect for others. Other cultures can really learn something by following in the Japanese footsteps. They're doing it right.

I live in Fujisawa next to Kamakura. I recommend all of you guys come around AM 7-9 in winter season, less tourists, you can see Mt.Fuji reflecting light from the sun.
If you come here around PM 4-5, you can see also the beautiful mountains shape like shadow puppet in orange colored sky.
