Bujaro everyone and Buana do as you can see we’re in the car we’re just driving um we’ve just left Keani and headed towards Terry Chola and it’s a lovely road which I’ve showed you many times before which was evidently very badly flooded in the last couple of months with the terrible floods they had the poor things but um all good now and it’s a bright blue sky day some fluffy clouds around they did say maybe a possibility of a shower hour later today, but we got up out of bed. My YouTube um video for you number one here in Italy is rendering and loading up as we speak. So, we hoped by the time we got home that it might be ready to rock and roll and to put out in time for you as promised today on Sunday. We had a few technical difficulties yesterday because I lost my charging cord from my computer, which was not clever of me, but these things happen sometimes in big moves and lots of luggage. Anyways, we’re off now to do a little bit of hopefully shopping because there are a couple of places that do stay open on Sundays. We need some bits and bobs, as I like to say, and also just wanted to look for some some things, see what we see. We we’re in need of a few things for downstairs. So, we’ll basically just have a little look at anything that might be open and then we’ll just play it by ear. And this afternoon, possibly um a friend said they might be coming our way to deliver something, but that’s not sure yet. But of course, we’ll keep you up to date with everything as we go along. So, let’s just go for a nice Sunday ride around beautiful Tuskini and show you what we see. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Look where we’ve come to. I wasn’t sure if it would be open, but it’s the medato that we bought a lot of things for it for the house. And we have come to have a look because we need a few things. Sorry, I have video in front of me. And I’ll take you with me. And look, I’ll turn it around. Look what we’ve got straight in front of us. So, there’s David. Say good morning, David. And there’s a fountain. Wow. This is the first time I’ve come here and seen a big fountain like this. Does anyone need a fountain with an angel on top? That’s pretty gorgeous. And look at these. These are magnificent. I’ve been looking for these for ages, but they’re usually very very expensive because they are the very very ancient what they call an orcho. That one’s sold. The one with all the markings on it. That one’s sold as well. Aren’t they magnificent? Wouldn’t they look amazing in our little vic a blood orange tree in them? Because we’ve already bought some blood orange trees and we’re thinking of putting one in in a pot. This is actually oversized for us to be honest because look at David. Can you see how tall they are? And how do you get it home? That’s what I want to know. How do you pick it up and get it home? But it’s absolutely beautiful. I think you need a big villa in the country for that. Does anyone need a wagon wheel for example? Let’s have a look and see if there are any goodlooking sinks. Are there any marble sinks lying around? Look, there’s an old laundry sink. This is the kind of thing where we found that piece of marble that we have downstairs inside because you get all sorts of bargains sometimes just sitting around outside these places before you even walk in. So, we always have a little squeeze, a squeeze. Sorry, that’s an Australianism. We always have a little look. A big dummy Janna, but we always find plenty of those. There are windows and doors. Some lovely looking doors there. I’m not sure where this big metal thing is. Uh don’t think there’s going to be anything outside here today for us. But if you’re looking for things uh to um renovate now, see for example, that’s a beautiful set of really old timber doors that just need some love and attention like ours got downstairs and they have no paint on them. So that would be an easy fix. They’re beautiful double doors. So, that is great for someone. You’ve got some shutters there for windows. Look at these beautiful double doors here, darling. Aren’t they wonderful? Oh, yeah. So, there’s a couple there. I saw those ones. I was just showing everyone, but look at those. And they’re in good condition with a little bit of renovating. They would be awesome. You probably can’t pull it apart cuz there’s a lock on the Oh, they’re just sitting separately. [Applause] Yeah, they look like they could either be chestnut or Yeah, for sure. For sure. Anyway, let’s go and wander back and have a look inside and see what beauties we find in there. I I’m going to have to ask the price of those big pots, though, because if anyone’s interested out there, I don’t think I can take one home. But boy oh boy, are aren’t they beautiful? Okay, let’s wander inside. Does anyone need a violin? I was just saying, does anyone need a violin? So now, as soon as you come in, we come into all the beautiful portalana, the china wear and dinner wear, coffee services here. Lots of lovely, lovely things. Um, all different styles. Obviously, all different styles. Oh, sorry, Danny. Let go by by David. Excuse me, sweetheart. What were you saying, Danny? It’s the orange. The orange. What stone is that? Is that man-made or is it coral or something? Oh, I don’t know. I can’t tell. So, just a little bit further down, we start to see all of the light fittings. You’ve got everything from modern sort of styles of chandeliers to very old ones. We got ours here that we have in our lounge room which I believe was 1800s. So you’ve got lots of choice there. And then we’re going around the corner here where there are more furnishings, larger furnishings. I want to look for some dinner plates. They often have amazing dinner plates here. There’s a whole section there with children’s things. So here we go. Lots and lots of Oh, look at that telephone, David. Look at this old telephone, my love. Isn’t that gorgeous? That’s a beauty, isn’t it? Some lovely old tables here with very, very fine turned legs. That looks like an old church pew, actually. Well, it’s it’s got hinges in the middle. Hinges in the middle. And I think it moves. And it’s like a table. A long coffee table. this thing. I was looking at this one. Oh, this one. Yeah, that’s actually something. That’s a lovely hall light. Um, how much is that one? Just to give you an idea. 40. You know who would love that? Ella. Ella. From Ella and Sergy from um, Dreaming of a Shadow. They They would love that in their house. That’s very much them. Little sort of stool table thing. We don’t need anything like that though, do we? We’ve got to be sensible, darling. Only get things we really need. So, we see see something that’s really nice that we don’t need and then we’ll buy it. That’s us. Typical. There’s modern pieces of furniture as well. Caroline bought a beautiful couch here. My lovely friend Caroline, she bought her couch here at an amazing price and it was literally brand new. Crazy cost. Let’s have a look through here. Oh, they’re very, very nice little stools. I like those. They’re €40 each and there are two of those. Really cool. Look at these little stools with the feet, David. They’ve got like animal feet €4 each. They’re super cool, aren’t they? We can also pick up quite often some lovely artworks here. Um, as you can see, there’s a whole wall along there of lovely frames. Sometimes it’s worthwhile even just for the frame because frames can be expensive. See that large one at the back, which is quite a large painting with a lovely gold frame, is €48. And don’t forget, you have to look at the dates on them because if it’s been here for more than a month, it will be discounted. Sometimes half price or if it’s a valuable piece, it will have a percentage of it. Yeah. So very very worthwhile looking through those for sure. There’s another one there of an old property. Oh, my eyes are going everywhere. David, I have to walk in one direction otherwise I’m going to get distracted. Totally. It’s these places are so distracting distracting. You have to sort of walk up and down a few times because you your eyes are just going in every possible direction all at once. Large really lovely ammo here. If you’re looking for an ammoir or that one is self now this person Rick has bought a lot today because his name is on everything. Plenotato. So, that one is already um on hold. They put things on hold for you. There’s a corner cabinet, which I am looking for a corner cabinet, but not that style. Oh, look at this one with the sort of like a a liar shape on each side. That little cupboard. That’s quite sweet, isn’t it? Seen anything you like, my love? Oh my gosh, look at that. A banana. I don’t know whether we need a false banana, but look at this. For anyone that has a large home that loves this style, Bellissima. So, it’s the console and mirror, which the mirror is massive. That’s at least a meter and a half tall with a console that has the red and gray marble. The entire set is €400. That’s a very good price for something like that. Let’s wander down here for people that like shabby chic sort of look. That lovely cream color mirror is only €48. Lovely old trunk there. I don’t like the sticker on it, but the trunk’s lovely and it’s only 30. They make great storage, don’t they? Let’s walk down this [Music] way. A bookshelf there. We are kind of looking for a couple of pieces of furniture for our lounge room upstairs to change out something. Um, we have our new dining table coming soon, of course, and we’re going to be making a few little changes. So, we’re just keeping our eye out for anything that might interest us and perhaps fill a new space. Oh, that’s lovely. It’s a lovely piece for a rustic kitchen, isn’t it? And that’s another really nice trunk. Oh, I like that one better. That’s beautiful. That could even make a coffee table. You know when you have a coffee table, but you store things in it. Love it. Rather impressive coat hanging stand. And you’ve got mattresses and things, of course. Now I’m going to go back up towards the front now. Ilvino Fresco for putting your wine storage. Let’s Oops. Let’s wander back up towards this way. Now, this is where we often find some really lovely dinner plate sets which are great value. And you’ll see sets of glasses and the price at the front is for the entire set. So, for example, here it says €9, but that’s for all of the glasses. So, 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8. So, eight of these champagne flutes, for example, for €9. So, again, €24 for the set of gold, lovely gold glasses there with the leaf pattern on them. I don’t really need any glasses just at the moment. So, but I am looking, as I said, for some plates. Do you see any good plates, my love? Were there any good plates on the other side? Nothing that jumped out at [Music] you. They’re quite sweet, actually. That beigy color with the Can you hold one? They’re a little bit used and all, but I like them cuz they’re terracotta. Oh, I like that. Is it €18 for the whole lot? Have a look. Does it Does it say five? For five. Oh, for the five bowls. And then there’s plates underneath. We don’t need bowls, but I quite like have to have a look at that. Green trimmed ones there. They’re a little bit too classic for me. I’m looking for something a little bit kind of organic, if you know what I mean. Let me have a look at these up close. So, David was incorrect. It’s the five bowls and five matching plates. Obviously, one each might have got broken of the two because normally I think a set would be six, but the whole lot for €18. And they’re basically terracotta that it’s been glazed. So, I don’t know how they’d wash up, but I like them. If you’re into military things, this whole set, Rick has bought it all, but they were very interesting pieces. Kind of would give that really modern vibe to something, but quite military and a lovely sort of army green with little shelves and boxes and all sorts of things. Down here we have some quite vintage, let’s say. Now, these days, anything from the 80s and stuff is vintage. Different electronic things. Little basket. There’s all the frames I was talking about before. Let’s go this way. It’s hard getting all through all the frames. So, that’s the thing when they’re lying like that. I often find them difficult to look through in all honesty. What have we got here? Oh my goodness. Now that’s what I would call a witch’s cauldron. That’s a beauty. Look at this, darling. Oh, and Rick bought that one as well. €25. Rick has bought everything in the store that I like. He bought this big cauldron as well. That’s a beauty. So, you’ve got copper pots and things here, which we don’t need at the moment. We have a few pieces, but until we do the upstairs kitchen correctly, we aren’t going to buy any more decorative pieces because we really don’t know how it’s going to end up looking. So, it’s a bit silly to do that. T more dining tables there, clocks, wall clocks from different eras. Then down here you’ve got sort of more kitchen things. A lot more glasses. Any glass? They’re quite nice. The big water glasses actually. Those green glass ones. How much are they for the set of Looks like 2 4 6 eight. How many? Eight. 8 for the eight. Oh, that’s good. A each. A euro each. Can you check and see if any of them are chipped, darling? Cuz otherwise that’s great value. We might actually grab those. I have to look at the ones underneath as well. Oo, might have got some lovely water glasses. I needed some tall water glasses. I’ve only got little glasses and I hate having a short glass of water. Do they look good to you? We might grab those and put them up at the table at the front before anyone else grabs them. I think they are going to go well. I was looking at getting some water glasses unless there’s anything here behind that looks any better. That’s the same sort of thing but in white. But I like the I like that green glass. No, they’re too little again. I want a big long drink. We’ve got small water glasses at home and I’m always feeling like Oh, look. That’s like the mugs that match those other plates. It is, isn’t it? They’re exactly the same. And could you spin that around for me, please, darling? How much does that say? 10 10 €10 for the five. 1 2 3 4 five mugs. The same as that other set. So, I would imagine that someone came here with the entire lot. So, we’re looking for a coat stand for downstairs, and I saw this, which I didn’t mind it from the distance being in bamboo in all honesty, but it’s very crooked. It’s actually like the leaning tower of Pisa. So, but it was €30, so I’m not buying anything crooked for €30. Timber one, which is not the style at all for downstairs. Just very, very traditional. on our room downstairs is not traditional, but much better quality actually. And that’s only €8. So, I’m kind of confused that that one, which is crooked and bamboo, is cheaper than this one, but go figure. But not for us anyway. That’s okay. So far, we’ve got some glasses. Hello. And we’ve got um Oh, we’re going to get that lovely planter box that we saw outside. all those big ones were sold, but I don’t think we would afford those. Anyway, I am looking desperately for coat stands or something that you can hang things on like coats on a wall. So, a lovely um wall coat hanger if you like we’ve got in our kitchen upstairs. Whoopsie. Kitchen upstairs. But I don’t think I’m going to be lucky today. And that’s okay. When you come to these places, often times you get super lucky and come home with a car full of things, and other times the shop can seem so full, but it just doesn’t have what you’re needing personally. So, you just have to keep on coming back and trying. And there are other places, of course, as well. So, we’re just driving into Kazanova, which is just near where we live. Beautiful vineyards. the whole way around. And I just wanted to show you up here. So, just sort of 10 minutes from home, I suppose, we have this amazing uh that’s an Adienda agric agricola. But here in this beautiful building that goes all the way up the the top here, so I’ll show you if I can from the front. There’s probably people there today. Oh, that sky is getting black. We’re going to get some rain. This is our one and only. You can see the umbrellas up there. Perhaps our one and only Michelin star restaurant in our area or close to us, let’s say. So, and look at those views. Oh, there’s a lot of people there. I think people are out having Gosh, look at all those cars. There are lots of people eating there today. Having a very, very good lunch out obviously on this long weekend Sunday. I don’t blame them. But we loved our little trip around the Mercino today. We just didn’t we didn’t really find well we found the glasses and the other things. We didn’t see anything else that we particularly needed right now did we darling? But the other kind of places you’ve got to go back to. Sorry, sweetheart. It’s one of those things when you go there. Yes. Oh my god. I know. I want that. I want that. I know. And there other times you go really it it’s full of wonderful things all the time but not what we need right now. So, because in this room it’s got really dark outside, folks. As you saw driving home, it’s come over really dark. So, let me turn my big ta my big light on. Um, this room. Oh, there’s the my laptop over there loading up your your vlog. This room here, um, we love it. We don’t, you know, we don’t dislike it in any way, but it was furnished kind of in a rush to get us in here living in here when we first got here. And there are certain things now that we’d like to change. We’ve told you this before, I think, little bits of furniture like this little one here that I bought really inexpensively that’s not really quite big enough to hold enough. So, that may need to go. Um, the bookshelf that is here is kind of temporary, which I love bookshelves, but I need something actually tall to order so I can fit more. Because when you’re in a smaller space, you need every piece that you put in it really to be really, really highly practical. And in the beginning, it was just let’s just furnish it. Let’s make it comfortable. So that corner where the little table is and the guitar, I’ve often thought that would probably be a nice corner to have a corner piece of cupboard uh corner cupboard or something that kind of um fills that corner a little bit more and makes it again a practical space that I can put things away because I miss a lot of storage in here. I don’t have storage in this house. A lot of storage. So little by little, if we see something that’s spectacular that we really like, we’ll buy it. Obviously here, this is going to change very soon because this week our friends are coming with that lovely, beautiful timber table that they totally restored for us that we bought from Emma and Valerio out at um Tutoto Antiques in Monte. So that will come. And this lovely little set, which we adore, is going to become the little dining set for the cantina downstairs. So, it means that we’ll lose two of these chairs, which we have another two downstairs. So, we may need to either um we might just have these chairs at either end of the table and buy other smaller ones or little, you know, these are folding as well. For the rest, we’re not sure. We haven’t actually thought about the seating for the table yet. I think once it’s here, we’ll understand better how we’d like to do it. And I don’t mind at all about having chairs that don’t match, you know? I kind of like mix match things. So, we’ll see. We’ll see. We’re still kind of not quite there yet. Once it’s here, we’ll understand what we need to do with it. Correct, my love? Yes. Excellent. All right. Well, I’m going to get on with a couple of jobs downstairs and let David sit and relax for a few minutes. And Oh, actually, I feel like we need an afternoon tea or coffee, darling. Is it? It must be straight across. Oh, yes. I definitely need a hot drink. All right, let’s have a hot drink first and then contemplate what we need to be doing. Great. I see yesterday for 10 minutes. Are you okay? 10 minutes. I can never do it for 10 minutes. You’re very clever. If you can go to sleep for 10 minutes and then wake up again, I cannot. Everyone, it’s a fresh new day. It rained last night and we had a bit of a storm but this morning as you will see when I turn the camera around or actually oh no you can’t tell like that between the houses. Um it’s a beautiful beautiful blue sky day once again and our house is once again looking like a a work zone but I love it. I love it because it means that again we’re moving one step ahead. I’ve just made David and I a nice um almond latte and I’ve been to the KU so the council building if you like this morning and I’ve signed my first papers with the local commune as a resident and once that goes through and all of that is done then David can do the same. So, we are well and truly on track now for being our having our residency here, permanent residency in Italia, which we’re both very, very happy about. So, I’m going to show you what’s going on this morning. I did mention it in the last video, but it’s Monday morning. The electrician has turned up and we’re going to start having light fittings. Yes. So excited. So, I have my latte and it’s a little pathway of wire bags of wires here. There’s the electrician’s man. And I’m I’ll go down and see what they’re up to. Oh, by the way, we brought back Jazz Jazzimo Jasmine um here. And look, isn’t she doing beautifully? She’s doing so well. So, we have our lovely pot back and we’ll be getting lots and lots of lovely flowers soon. We almost tried to get to the to the store yesterday, but it had closed by the time we got back from our shopping. Plenty of time for that. And now where that pot was, there’s a bit of a hole over here, which is Lori and Fabio’s space, but we were chatting this morning and we’re going to buy a lovely big pot and put one of our um Sicilian oranges there and see how it goes because it does get quite a lot of sun there, even though it’s not in sun just at this point of time. There’s that Tuscan sky I was talking about. Okay, let’s see. Let’s see if we can make our way through all the wires and into the cantina. Oh, someone’s got the radio on. Good on them. Well, there’s our beautiful barn door. Obviously not in place yet, but the rail that it goes on just hasn’t arrived yet. They would hope were hoping it would, but it’s just going to go there. It’s a lovely black Yeah, it’s a black rustic rail. Very rustic looking, just simple, but that is spectacular. So, that’s a really old Tuscan door that was in a mess that they’ve renovated for us and obviously brought it back to its color with a stain, a bit of a stain on it. Um, they’re also going to put little, you know, obviously a little handle that goes front and back with a little tiny kind of locking system for inside. But, um, considering this will only ever be used by say two people at the most at a time, that’s not a big deal. plenty plenty of privacy, but it looks beautiful in front of the actual door hole. Um the two gentlemen that brought it, beautiful luchano and Marco, they’re just sensational. Held it in front of the actual doorway for us. And that beautiful piece of timber in the middle there. Boy oh boy, didn’t it look spectacular, darling? It looks so good. We can’t wait. So hopefully, we were hoping it would go up today, but now it’s going to be probably tomorrow or the next day because of that rail arriving. They think potentially tomorrow morning. So if they can come tomorrow, the next day, they’ll come and hang that. And then while they were here, we took the opportunity, oh, here I am, the opportunity to ask a couple of questions. So number one, about our marble. So he’s going to do a really lovely um quote for us. a couple of separate quotes because we’re not sure if we can do this straight away. Depends on how we’re going with our budget, which is diminishing by the minute, but um to do like a little island, a kitchen island because it doesn’t fit on the benchtop well. So, that might end up being like a little kitchen island work spot with lovely timber feet on little rollers so you can move it around in the other room. And that way he said it can even be a place where someone might stand up or sit down to it to for breakfast or whatever. Just another little, you know, bench space. But being marble, Carrera marble, of course, it’s great for rolling pasta and all those kind of things. So that’s a that would be a great addition to our kitchen. And then back in the actual kitchen space. Oh, and we have light, ladies and gentlemen. We have a light bulb. Um, and we have a washing machine. that’s doing his stuff because we had so much washing. Um, back here we’ve designed the little kitchen, L-shaped kitchen with him this morning and also to build a cupboard. So, we’ll be waiting for the preventivo it’s called, which is a quote to come back for that. And what it would be is a timber, a little timber wall here. Literally, that means when you walk in, you won’t see the side of the washing machine. Then that continuation of that beautiful timber right the way around and it will be a big thick slice of timber that is specially treated obviously to be able to wipe down. Then over here as I think I told you we’re going to have a small square sink um with the lovely tap that I think I’ve I think I’ve shown you. Um and then it will come around the corner. the induction stove top, little fridge under here, and then it will stop around about here and come back down again. So, it’ll just be that lovely sort of fountain edge kind of timber that goes around across and down where David is. And then from here, we think we’ve chosen now the cushioned sort of lounge seating thing that we’ve been looking at. It’s not exactly the one I may have showed you in the past because we realized spacewise because they’re separate cushions. They actually don’t fit in as well as we had hoped. Um, we found another solution which is almost the same. Looks really comfy and is going to it’s going to fit a lot better, I think. Isn’t it darling? Yeah. Yeah. So that will go down around here and then just a little way around the corner there and finish just in the right space to give us plenty of thorough affair still to walk around and go through into the bedroom zone with the little table and chairs. Two chairs just there. So we’re getting there that you need a few days in a space to understand its best use. Don’t you darling? And I do so much from overseas as you know, but it’s a lot of guest work. It’s amazing what a difference 10 cm makes. David, don’t be cheeky. It does. I have a cheeky husband. Um, it does. It’s incredible. uh the the seating we were looking at each seat was a meter square and then we found ones that were 90 cm square if you like and as David said in fact just that gaining of 10 cm on each cushion is incredible um gaining that 30 if you’ve got three of them then 30 cm at the end it’s amazing what a difference it makes when you’re in a fairly you know fairly restricted area and you’re trying to trying to you’re trying to um put in as much as you can but make it still look very spacious, not overcrowd things. I’m sure you get what I mean. So that’s today and um that’s about it just for this morning. Now I’m off to the bank. I’ll see you after everyone. I’m just about to leave home and off to Luca to sign a settlement paper for a lovely client of mine from the States who’s buying a beautiful house here in here in Keani. And I think I’m as excited as she is. It’s so so much fun to go and do this on behalf of someone. I’m so happy for her. And we’re going to be doing a little bit of filming along the way. So, we’ll see you shortly in Luca. [Music] Look at this magnificent day. We’ve just stopped in Kashana for a quick makiato before Ela picks me up to take me to Luca. And there are um seat scaffolding seats around. Kashana does a festival for the different um quati the different quarters of the town like the ancient times where they one quarter of a town fights against another you know does special things in the old days they used to do jousting and things and this um building here we saw all the flags there but we saw they have the different areas here so it’s really pretty one is called Rion Casino in the blue and then you have Rion Chantra with the church and then you have Rione Petraa which is another section of town that I’ve heard of lovely old section and then Rioni Gorina Rioni Gorina that looks like it’s on the edge of town and there’s a molino that looks like there’s an old mill there. Aren’t they pretty? How lovely. And then you can see this this obviously has therefore the red of um this building the red flags of the chantra. So yes, obviously there’s going to be something rather exciting happen here very soon. How lovely. We’ll have to check the date of that cuz that would be a fun thing to attend if we’ve got time. It might happen when we’re in Sicily. So this building here opposite the church is getting a major facelift. A bit like what we had but perhaps much much larger. And I don’t think they will stay rendered because Kashana the buildings the style here is more the beautiful colored rendered facade. So maybe they are redoing their lovely facade there. But I don’t imagine it would be back to stone here. Cheers Carol. We decided to come to the bar straight after signing and do a cheers to your good health, your future home here in Keani and to wonderful happy days ahead. Salute day. We’ll see you soon in Kani. Hi everyone. I’ve got langitis. So I’m talking into the microphone and I hope you can hear me. This is our beautiful pot I was telling you about that got delivered today. There’s a little bee sitting there. Came to visit and it’s gorgeous. Beautiful tuskcen pot and a lovely big one. So, we’ll be putting our tree here. Let me show you. [Music] Gorgeous. What’s up Are you looking forward to going to Sicily? Yes. You don’t have to whisper. I have to whisper, but you have to talk normally, otherwise no one will hear you. All right. I’ve got lenitis. He doesn’t. Oh. Come on, Cheeky. Yes, it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be fun, isn’t it? Definitely. And it’s so hot here that I bet it’s like swimming weather down there. We’ll have a splash in the water for sure. Going to take your swimming costume with you. I am. Me, too. Yes. Awesome. We will get wet in the Mediterranean. That sounds good to me. [Laughter] Awesome. Look what we’ve got. Sorry, I’m whispering again. Look what we just got. We got our first chipaso or cypress tree. It’s only a baby and it’s called a chipaso totem and it will go to about 4 m high and we hope it it will be very happy here. And David, we you’ve seen our beautiful part. David’s already put in so we went to a wonderful uh store where he’s put in gravel. Now he’s putting in the first big bag of soil. And then we’ll have to measure things out, of course. But if we’ve got soil left over, there’s not a problem because we’ll have lots of other things to do once we get all our other plants. But isn’t that going to look awesome there in the corner? I am so happy. I’m so happy. Oh, it is. Is it going further than what you thought, darling? It is. Oh, but the lady said you had to compact it right down. Don’t forget. Lots of compacting, she said. So, that’s a good way to do it. There you go. Yeah, you’ve got to get all the air pockets out, she said. I’ve just been down to the grocery shop um so I’m not dressed for planting things, getting all dirty. So today we’ve got our beautiful new plant that we haven’t named yet cuz I give everything a name usually. And then um we have our dining table coming straight after lunch with the lovely Emma and Valerio. So you’ll get to see lots of new things today. It’s very exciting here at Viva today. Oh gosh, I’m so happy. That’s going to look so cute. And you imagine once it’s grown up how wonderful it’ll look. Oh gosh. David’s doing the old treading on the grapes thing but with the the soil instead. You having fun, darling? Honestly, look at him go a bottle of wine out of this. That’s a handsome plant if ever I saw one. Isn’t he a handsome plant, ladies and gentlemen? We should have him standing there all the time. So friends, here we have it. Sorry for my croaky voice, but now we have our beautiful little chipoa whose name is still to be decided sitting in its gorgeous big orcho. It’s big tuscan handmade pot. The light will go out the front soon. And I’m thinking around the rim, the top rim, I’m going to put some pretty little seasonal flowers just to make it look prettier as well. And of course, we still have lots of flowering to do here because we haven’t had a chance yet. And we’re thinking we’ll probably just wait until we come back from our Sicilian trip to do that. It’s silly to rush in the next couple of days. We’ve got other things to do. But it’s looking gorgeous, isn’t it? Doesn’t it look like a little Tuscan paradise now? Really intriguing. We are over the moon. Here’s our wonderful table. Oh, isn’t it wonderful? So Valario restored this for us. Oh, it’s beautiful. Look what David is tapping his hand on. Valerio and Emma have just left and they’ve left us with our beautiful dining table. We’ve just stuck the original two chairs that we had which are very high quality folding tables really heavy that you might all remember that we bought from Recuperando up near de Mari a couple of years ago. So, we have four of those, but we’re using two downstairs. So, we’re still deciding what other two chairs we get here, or whether we even just get a couple of really pretty little um wooden um what do you call them? Stools that sit that would sit under there when they’re out of the way and then we could just pull them out when we need them. We’re really not sure, are we, darling? No. Right now? No, sometimes we just like to live with something a little bit Yeah. But we’re loving how it looks spatially. It looks really pretty with my lovely candle. Um, perfect size candalabra sitting there under the mirror cuz we wanted it the same size as the We did. Well, this is another thing that I bought from Australia online while I while we were there with mom looking after her. And u when Emma gave me the sizing, I said, “Oh, I think it’s exactly the size of the rug that I have sitting there,” which I knew the rug spatially fitted here. So, I’m really really happy. Isn’t it amazing how it’s blackened? The table is black and the brown top, the the natural timber top. And I chose for it to be black on the bottom when he was restoring it. But it actually does look beautiful with those chairs, doesn’t it, David? Yeah. Yeah. Look at that. Yeah. Looks really great. So that as you know, ladies and gentlemen, that’s the lovely handmade rot iron table or cast iron table I think that we had made also at Rick Berandanda. So that one was what was sitting there, but that will now go downstairs into the cantina and create a lovely little dining table or breakfast table for people that are staying down there. Our daughter will sit there to have her brekie for example. So we have to take that downstairs. But I am thrilled to pieces we both are. It’s a really lovely tabletop. Love the knots. All the lovely knots. Yeah. Yeah. And I don’t own a a rectangular tablecloth, so I might need to get one, darling. Nice linen one I think would be lovely. But I’m really really pleased. What do you all think? So we’ve had lots of new things today, actually. Our new pot, our new little tree, our beautiful new table. It’s a very exciting week, isn’t it, my love? Awesome. Excitement. And they are happening. They are happening. Getting stuff done. Exactly. And even my voice is starting to get better this afternoon. I think it’s not quite so scratchy, is it? 6. Ciao Marisa and David, what a nice afternoon out shopping, I loved it. The dining room table is bellissima, I love the two-toned colors, perfect choice. David does make a handsome plant, but I think the tree is better in that spot. I am looking forward to your trip to Sicily. Marisa, congratulazioni per aver firmato i documenti di residenza. Tanto amore da N.Y.
