Day tour in Monaco – Best Instagram locations

good morning it’s day three of my trip and we’re back on the prominade in N the plan this morning is to head out to Monaco on the train it’s going to take roughly uh 20 minutes and the cost of the train ticket is5 each way so about € return trip [Music] so I’ve reached the G uh n railway station it was about 20 minute walk tops from the main prominade I’ll just uh spin round and we’ll have a look at the the actual building itself as train stations go it’s pretty nice so the uh train journey to Monaco is going to take roughly 20 25 minutes because I got the tgv from Paris down to here I had the sncf app installed on my mobile phone I thought I’d maybe just get a ticket inside but you’ll see in a second it’s really busy so I just found a quite little corner and um I bought the ticket on my app and then I’ve got the added feature of it adding to my uh wallet on my mobile phone this is the uh inside of the of the station that dark seems to bark at everyone that walks past it yeah this is the inside and then you just scan your QR code ticket m’s on my mobile phone and then we’ll go over to the platform so I’ve got roughly um 15 minutes until the train um comes I’m going to quickly find out what platform it’s on and then I’m going to hopefully sit on the right hand side of the train and I should get some better views of the sea incidentally if you ever come on the tgv to nice if you sit on the right hand side of the carriage you’ll always get a glimpse of the coastline as the train hugs uh well hugs the coastline from marsay to to ni and uh yeah we went through some pretty nice results the um if you come toce it’s really easy to get to some of these world famous towns and they’re usually only like 30 minutes away on the train so um yeah I’ll get some snaps and I’ll speak to you again in Monaco [Music] so the journey took about 20 minutes the train was really really busy it was more I describe it like a a London Underground everybody was like tightly packed together so the plan for this video is I’m going to basically um see all the big sites that I can in like the next few hours yeah so for the next few hours I’m going to try and see as many of the big sites that I can um I’ll put a link on time stamps in the video so you can see or jump to exactly what I saw on the day and uh this is yeah this is what you’ll see when you come and visit Monaco too [Music] so 20 minutes later from the railway station I’ve managed to walk to the prince’s Palace I’ll just uh flipped the screen and there it is get a closeup of the Guard [Music] yeah I’m not going to go in um but I just wanted to see the front of it so I use Google Maps to get here and uh as I said it took 20 minutes uh walking but it was a hard walk obviously Monaco is very very hilly um so I’m just going to go over to this side of the square and we should get a a really good view I mean the views were Inc rible as I walked up but of the main Harbor and all the uh Apartments so this is going to be spectacular [Music] so that’s the view of uh Monaco Harbor from the palace which is behind me and then 5 minutes just up walking up the road here it’s described as the best panoramic view of Monaco so let’s go and take a look at that as well so I’ve just reached the second point or second uh time stamp on the video and this apparently is the best panoramic view of Monaco and I have to say I think I agree it was literally just 5 minutes walk from where the palace was so there’s the main Harbor the casino and the tourist information offices are over there we’ll go over there in a bit and if I zoom back out there’s the swimming pool and see where the F1 does the uh what comes by on that road there and all of these apartments here on the [Music] hillside okay so what I plan to do now is I’ll just show you on the camera we got the perfect view just down there where I’m zooming in apparently you can get um a ferry that goes across the harbor and I think it’s actually that Ferry there and it cost €150 to go across it’s uh electric powered it will take me over to where the um the uh the yacht club is more importantly behind there is the tourist information the casino and uh the famous tunnels that are in in the F1 and again everywhere on visiting will be time stamps and I’ll put uh hyperlinks in the the description of this video so I’ve reached Point number three and if I just spin the camera around I’m down at the uh Harbor and this is called the oh I’m not going to pronounce it but there you go I’ll put the link in the description and we’ll get a good view of some of these these famous yachts and boats so I think it’s going to be about one it’s two and it’s going to take us across the harbor Monaco has to be one of the nois iest places I’ve ever [Music] been for [Music] so that cost €2 and we got across the harbor in about 10 minutes but that’s what we saw some really good closeups of the Arts okay so that was uh point the number three so now I’m going to go over to where the form the one tunnels are on the hair pin but as I walk off the the uh Little Ferry there we’ve come to the thus Yacht Club okay let’s go and find these F1 tunnels then and the hair [Music] pin basically on the way up here um those lots of Road works and I’ve got lost and I couldn’t find the tunnel I’m going to hope to hopefully see the tunnel and the have in uh once I’ve finished here but on the left that’s uh Cafe De then there’s the casino Monte Carlo and it’s impossible to get a photo that there’s so many people here the and then over on the right hand side hotel de par this is a really expensive hotel well obviously they’re all going to be expensive but this is the famous one and I suspect in the evening at the night time this is where you’ll see all the flash sports cars here’s one here Ferrari somebody who drives of panto it’s wasted on there over this way we’ll get one more glimpse of the casino and there’s some flash cars over here so the dress code um I won’t go in although it’s October I’m wearing shorts but the dress code um you need to be wearing uh trousers and look reasonably smart and you can’t be a resident of Monaco um it’s only available for people who don’t live here so that’s ticked off the list I still want to find the tourist information center um they used to give out stamps on your passport but you can’t do that on real passports anymore but they give you like a novelty passport I’m going to see if I can do that and find the hair pin and the tunnel so I’ve just visited the tourist information office might sound a little bit strange but the reason I went is to get my fake passport and it’s stamped with today’s date like they used to um stamp real passports a long time ago but they’ve sted doing it so they just issue fake ones now so I’ve just got two for my uh nephews Max and Jack I’ll be bringing that back with me so I’ve made it to the site of the hair pin if I just spin the camera there we can see there it is so I’m going to walk down to the Fairmont Hotel and Casino just there and I’ll take some shots of the cars going around it [Music] I found the tunnel I don’t know how to get down to The Pedestrian access to it but here it is so that’s the end of my uh trip in Monaco um I got to see all the big things that I wanted to see it was a little bit of a f finding the the tunnel but I sort of saw it in the end I’m not that phased I thought it was a good point just to sign off in front of the harbor here we’ll just do a spin the Monaco Yacht Club is there behind me so I’m going to go back to the train station and head back to nice if you ever come to this part of the world it’s really easy to go from all the different towns on the train um It’s relatively cheap as well and I really recommend coming to mon it’s a fascinating place so tomorrow I’m going to be um getting the train and heading to uh Milan before heading on to Switzerland so I hope you um enjoyed the video today and uh yeah look out for the next one where I’ll be heading to Milan take care [Music]
