    1. And go via barriz amazing almost victorian sea side place !! Then sourh down to Gibraltar thro Portugal thro the pecos mountain coast side , hot desert other side very like our back in Australia

    2. When you arrive at a cafe and you're feeling a bit like everyone is looking at you, I find a big smile and a 'Bonjour messieurdame' works wonders. In France is polite to say hello to everyone in a shop or a cafe when you enter and it's something I really enjoy about France.

    3. 61k subscribed now😲👍👏
I keep threatening myself I'll buy a CoolCover for my bike 😂
Those bridges were mesmerising! Those oil slicks on that fuel stop! I hate self serv fuel but you didn't have a choice. There's nothing better than listening to wildlife at the end of the day camping.

    4. You crack me up Rich. Going from a bloke who moaned at the thought of camping to being such a snob now. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

    5. L8l yea take a bit if gettingcused to shops in france , learn how to recognise them as most village shops doo eveything ! They just dont look like they doo think SPAR branded shops best they do hot food a lot, french but beggers choice init. Get to spain you doo very little miles!!

    6. Great video again. I prefer my top box and panniers as it gives me a bit of security but of course it’s a lot of extra weight. You seem to be heading down the same route I’m going to be taking in a months time. Can you please order me the same nice weather you two are having.

    7. My MT07 does exactly the same thing on start up. It's had the recall and supposedly a new clutch pack but it still lurches a bit and really clunks onto first gear when changing from neutral to first. I'm glad you mentioned it, I think we'll have to keep an eye on it. BTW, I really look forward to your episodes, it's great how you just get along together on your travels..

    8. Yeah, you're right about buying better gear. What's the saying, you only need to cry once, so buy the best you can afford.

I learnt that whilst doing many hiking trips and overnight camps on the hills in the Lake District.

That experience translates well to Moto camping. Keep it light, and if the gear is light, it's usually expensive. 😊

Packing the right gear for the appropriate weather is always a challenge. I'm the same, pack for dry weather and it rains all the time, so I just take everything now 😂
Enjoying these vids of your latest trip.
      Thx
      G

    9. Planning to Camp next year via Belgium into Vosges to south of France. 2 Questions, Rich and Ewa, How do you pick the campsites and do you ring beforehand ? Cheers

    10. You guys have been travelling a wee while now you must of learned that you need to adjust for the situation seems like you never learn 😂😂

    11. I have a biker mate who splits his time between the UK and France where he has a gite needing ongoing work.
A group of bikers go over most years and help him out with jobs for free B and B plus lots of runs out on the bikes.
We still get caught out by shops closing at 7pm, petrol stations closing for lunch, saints days and public holidays+++ when the country shuts down, poor driver skills on roundabouts, etc etc… I could go on and on. Where he lives in Brittany everything stops for a 2 hour lunch break. When he'd not been there very long his elderly neighbour (who he later found out was the retired local police chief) called around to warn him of his inappropriate behaviour! His crime was using a strimmer at 12.30pm when he should be eating/relaxing/drinking wine/sleeping.
That said France is an amazing country for bikers with lots of drivers courteously pulling over and waving you past. Was there 2 weeks ago and can't wait to get back.
Ride safe and enjoy your trip.

    12. Ashension Day is a religious festival. It is the day Jesus assended into heaven. If you are on the continent, the Roman Catholics celebrate it. Perhaps you should have asked some of the people celebrating if you could join them!!!

    13. Get urself to a Decathalon store mate and buy a few food pouches, we use them for emergency meals but there’s enough in them for the times u can’t find anything 👍 a bit of baguette with them also helps.

    14. Rich & Ewa. Great episode. You both seem to be having a wonderful time. As ever, the main problem you seem to be facing is with your stomachs! 🤭 A recurring theme!
Perhaps a hydration pack would be worth trying if you don’t have them already? It’s certainly something I’m planning to get for my next trip. Was caught out badly once in Greece as dehydration sneaks up on you very gradually! As for the lack of food, can I respectfully suggest that you get up a little earlier! 🤭 Most shops in Europe don’t adopt the ludicrous opening hours we do in the U.K.
      je t'aime au revoir
      🩷❤

    15. one of my mates has a holiday home in a sleepy little village to the east of Perigueux, so a few of us go over on the bikes at least once a year. We never use the motorways, we take a leisurely day and a half ride down on the D roads through all the lovely little towns and villages along the way, it's so much more enjoyable than blasting down a motorway. You do have to be mindful of the shop opening hours though, we usually arrive on a Sunday afternoon and the shops close at midday on a Sunday so no chance of stocking up until Monday 🤔🤣. We were only there two weeks ago and this latest trip of yours is making me want to get straight back over again.

    16. Before starting the bike. Put it in gear and rock it back n forward. That should free up the clutch and stop it lurching forward on startup. I used to have to do it on most of my bikes.

    17. Ok, so you got me hooked on your latest tour, loving the bikes.
A guy at work used to say "if we had ham we'd have ham and eggs if we had eggs". Yours looked nice anyway.

    18. Loving the videos but same as you the last couple of years I've been to France really struggle to find coffee shops or cafes in the little towns, which is where I would have thought they'd be, so always end up eating at random times.
Lovely place to ride tho I took a flask last time so I could make it up before I set off and had a brew ready when I needed one!
Look forward to your next episode 👍🏻

    19. Good video, shame about the public holiday – perhaps you need to start earlier in the morning 🤔🤣
Are you going to visit Lourdes, and then what part of Spain are you going to?

    20. Hi both, maybe a silly solution to your food issue when moto camping in Europe.. Packet soups… Not the best I know, but you can squeeze a couple of packs in and you have at least some food in a emergency.

    21. Love watching your videos I had a bad bike accident a few years ago and I ve got a new bike now and every time I get on it to go out I keep getting flash backs to my accident so I put it away but recently after watching your videos I ve bit the bullet and booked a 4 night camping trip to Isle of Man end of June and this is thanks to you showing there’s more to life and I will continue to watch and support your channel

    22. “A shit shop like B&M” 🤣🤣🤣 you’ll be in trouble for that one! That poor guy with the pop up, he will not have figured out to pull the legs as you fold them down! Don’t be dissing the pop up, love mine! I shall have it at the ABR!! “Frog legs specialist” you guys crack me up 🤣🤣🤣🤣
