My Surprise Viking River Cruise on the Rhine River!

hi all it’s V about a year ago my sister said she wanted to plan a surprise trip for me so the day before I went to the airport I discovered I was going to Amsterdam surprise surprise my sister was there too i had just Skyped with her the day before and we went on an amazing Viking river cruise we were on Vikings Ry Getaway and it started in Amsterdam here’s a quick look at the ship it was beautiful and so comfortable and airy and light it had four decks with um what they call a main deck but I would say it was lower deck with just state rooms a middle deck with the guest services and the restaurant an upper deck with a lounge with a bar and my favorite part make your own coffee machines they were fantastic and a sund deck with things to do but the best part about it were the seats you could sit out watch the river go by especially when you have castles going by every few minutes it was a beautiful ship and the staff on the ship were spectacular they were so good they were nice and friendly and helpful everything you would expect there’s a little I call it putt putt it’s miniature golf and an herb garden look at these herbs how cute is this rosemary and lavender and mint and isn’t that gorgeous and then a very wet shuffle board shuffle board court shuffle board i don’t know what you call it obviously i think the thing I like best about being on a river cruise was that you’re right there in the city center usually the first night we took a nighttime canal cruise in Amsterdam and we could walk to the other boat we’re just pulling into Cologne Germany isn’t that beautiful there’s a cathedral obviously and there are a lot of river boats pulling into the cities and towns you see the spires of churches and the big houses it’s really beautiful and it’s a beautiful way to see some places that I wouldn’t necessarily have gone to see just on my own i was also surprised at how many animals you could see from the river you go under bridges you go by towns and cities it’s really a fantastic way to travel and I enjoyed every minute for the Ryan getaway the itinerary starts in Amsterdam then goes to Kinderdike in the Netherlands Cologne Germany Cooblintz Germany a scenic sail in the middle rine where you see a ton of castles Rudashime Germany Spire Germany Strawburg France Brie Germany where you can go visit the Black Forest and it ended in Basil Switzerland so the next few videos coming up will be all the different places we went on this cruise thank you so much for joining us really hope you enjoy it hit that subscribe button thanks so much [Music] hey hey hey [Music] hello [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music] heat hey Heat

My sister wanted to plan a surprise trip for me and it ended up being a Viking River Cruise! We had always wanted to try a river cruise, and this one was fantastic. The ship, Viking Idun, was comfortable and so light and airy and the crew was amazing. We did the Rhine Getaway which started in Amsterdam and had stops in –
    Kinderdijk, The Netherlands
    Cologne, Germany
    Koblenz, Germany
Scenic Castle Sailing in the Middle Rhine
    Rudesheim, Germany
    Speyer, Germany
    Strasbourg, France
Breisach, Germany for the Black Forest
    and ended in Basel, Switzerland

We also visited Colmar, France on an optional excursion.

This video introduces this river cruise and shows what the ship looked like and some scenes from the Rhine. #rivercruise #rivercruising #rhineriver #travel #travelvlog #traveling #vikingcruises
