Whether you stroll through the narrow streets of the old town, enjoy the sunset at the Rocher des Doms, or attend a festival – Avignon leaves a lasting impression.
The campsite is located on the island of La Barthelasse. It faces the Palace of the Popes and the famous Pont d’Avignon bridge, providing a splendid cultural view. From the gateway of the French capital of theatre, you will also be able to enjoy regular trips on the Rhône River departing from the campsite, via a free river shuttle service that will take you directly to Avignon town centre.

Avignon is one of the most beautiful cities in southeastern France, located in the picturesque Provence—Alpes—Côte d'Azur region. This city, located on the left bank of the majestic Rhone River, preserves a rich history and cultural heritage, which makes it one of the brightest representatives of medieval architecture.
The main attraction of Avignon is the Papal Palace, a magnificent building of the Gothic era, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The Palace Square, created by decree of Pope Benedict XII, is an integral part of the architectural ensemble of the city. It offers stunning views of the Papal Palace, as well as the ancient Romanesque Cathedral and the mint. Special attention should be paid to Rocher des Doms, a rocky promontory offering breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city.
