Boars, Beers, and Bizarre Beasts – Inside Munich’s “German Hunting and Fishing Museum ”

*The German Hunting and Fishing Museum* (Deutsches Jagd- und Fischereimuseum) is a hidden gem in the heart of Munich’s old town. Housed in a former Gothic church, the museum showcases Bavaria’s rich traditions of hunting and fishing—complete with wild boars, bear statues, antique weapons, and even the legendary Wolpertinger. From medieval stag trophies to quirky taxidermy and a pirate ship for kids, it’s a fascinating stop for visitors of all ages.
