This island is not very popular and it needs to be on your bucket list!

After travelling all over Greece, this is one of my favourite islands. The beaches here are some of the most beautiful in the world and the cliff lookouts are stunning. Some of my fave spots were Ship Wreck Beach, Pisines, Eros Cave, and Xigia Beach.

We stayed at Castelli Hotel and it was like a Balinese meets Maldives slice of paradise.

This is the island of Zakynthos and it is in the lonean Sea, a different area of Greece and away from the popular islands of Santorini and Mykonos.

    DAY 1

Head to Plakaki beach for a swim and some gorgeous views. Enjoy your afternoon then head to Myzithres viewpoint for an epic Zakynthos sunset

    DAY 2

head to Xgia sulfur beach area. There are a couple beaches here and they are all beautiful. The Xgia beach itself is kind of like an open ocean hot spring and is deffinetly worth a visit. After your beach morning head to Agoos Nikolas Harbour for lunch and a boat tour. There are several operators here with frequent departures so you should be able to get a great tour Navagio (shipwreck beach) and the blue caves for 30 € or less. Shipwreck beach and he Blue caves are an absolute must. We recommend getting the small boat option as they can enter the caves.

    DAY 3

Morning boat tour from Agios Sotis harbour to the south end of Zakynthos. Here you will see Keri caves, Myzithres from the water, the cave of love and the amazing pisines beach. After your boat trip head back to the hotel for lunch and the to the Navagio lookout to see shipwreck beach from above. You want to be there mid afternoon so the wayer is lit up. We stayed all the way to sunset and it was amazing! 5d ago
